I started the fun with Alexandria Auctions over 5 years ago. I have found many “treasures” over the years that are one-of-a-kind. It has become a tradition on Thursday evening to bid and hopefully win. It is always a pleasure to pick up the items and be greeted by the staff by name. I have been a bidder in Alexandria Gallery Auctions for about two years and wanted to provide a short review. To start I would note that the entire staff conducts themselves in not only a professional manner, but are exceptionally courteous at all times. It has always been a pleasure engaging with them in advance of an auction or when I retrieve lots on which I may have been the successful bidder. I have never been surprised nor uneasy in any regard. And that leads to a second highlight, namely the diligence and preciseness with which they catalog and describe lots being offered for auction. In addition to the thorough descriptions, they allow adequate opportunities for prospective bidders to physically inspect lots well in advance of their auction date. If there is any damage or condition issue or potentially missing part/component – it will be noted so as to inform potential bidders. This is not to suggest that items being offered are generally of poor condition – they are not – rather, that in the event that there may be an issue, it will be captured in the item description. Again, no surprises. I find that the typical bidders are a discerning group who are familiar with antiques, collectibles, rarities and such. While it is unlikely that a bidder will “get a steal” on an item, it must be balanced against the recognition that the Gallery carries merchandise of value and uniqueness one would rarely find elsewhere. So what does this mean for you? If you are a consigner/seller, you can expect: gracious and competent interactions and representation; that your possessions will be adequately marketed; and, that the pool of consistent bidders will likely result in the best/maximum price being realized. If you are a bidder, you can expect: to see items that are unique, rare, unusual and collectible; to be engaged by a courteous staff; and, an honest transaction when you are the successful bidder. It goes without saying that I would recommend the Alexandria Gallery Auctions to both owners/sellers and bidders/buyers. Happy auction hunting and good luck!

This auction house is wonderful. The owner and staff are really great folks. I thoroughly enjoy time spent when picking up my goodies. Definitely a go-to place to find great deals and interesting items up for bid.
