What a big disappointment! Was so looking forward to doing business with this store based off the positive reviews and they let me down in the worst possible. way. Late August, I called them for a repair on a large dinning room table. I was provided an e-mail address to send pictures of the damage. Was told I would hear back from the boss in a couple of days. So I followed the the instructions, took pictures and emailed them in. Two days later, no response, one week later still no response, so I gave them a call. Was told they received the pictures but the boss hadn't reviewed them yet. I felt some kind of way but still hung in there with this store because of the good reviews. Two weeks pass, still nothing heard so I gave them a call again. This time I was told their prices to have it delivered, repaired and redelivered back to my home (yes, they charge you to deliver back to your home)., I agree and wanted to schedule a pick-up. Once again was told I'll get a call back. That didn't happen so I called back again, "the boss is in the hospital and had been so for a few weeks" I get it, things happen. But a phone call would have been nice. Now less than a month prior to Thanksgiving, and I really need the table fixed, I called again. Was told the boss was home resting from the hospital, and was told they can't fix the table. Six weeks I communicated with this repair store and it took that long for them to tell me they couldn't fix it. Now it looks like it won't be fixed prior to the holidays and it is jeopardizing my family get together. What a let-down and lack of communication and flat out irresponsibility. I do not recommend this business at all!

Owner Response

Hi. This is the boss. September, I went to the emergency room and found out I had Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (cancer), with a baseball-sized mass in my liver. The business is being run by my manager. He told Chris to call you and let you know I was the only one who could repair this. I am sorry that we did not let you know sooner to possibly find someone else, but there is still time to find another repair person. If things work out, I would be glad to work on your table, but chemo and my blood count right now will not let me do that. I wish you the best of luck finding another repair person in time for Thanksgiving. Bill

My husband took a marble top table on 9/4 to have repaired, cleaned, waxed and to have a finneal turned. He left a deposit. Gentleman their said it would be ready in 6 weeks. On 10/22, my husband went to the shop to pay what was left and to find out the status of the table. The table had been taken apart and re-glued and table was sturdier then before. Gentleman told him they just had to clean marble top, clean and wax table and turn finneal. My husband called the shop this week to inquire about the table and was told the table had been put on hold for the Thanksgiving and Christmas rush. He inquired why had the table been put on hold when back in October all they had left to do was clean and turn finneal. The table has now been at the shop 3 1/2 months and he was told it wouldn’t be ready until mid January. He proceeded to call the owner of the shop several times but he would never return his calls. Instead of the owner returning my husbands calls, he called to the shop to tell his son to call my husband to get him straight and to inform him they had never stopped working on the table. The son did call my husband and informed him that he misspoke which he did not. If they were still working on the table, it would not be still sitting there waiting to be cleaned and the finneal turned. Also, we would have had it by now seeing that’s all they had left to do back on 10/22. You don’t take someone’s item that you have had since 9/4 and push it back to do other items that came in afterwards. I guess our table wasn’t that important and since they had already gotten paid in full for doing our table that it was no big deal they stop working on ours for the Thanksgiving and Christmas rush. My husband should have been told that when he dropped it off on 9/4 that it was going to be out on hold for other items. Also, when you call the owner of a business and they don’t even have enough respect for their customers to call you back and talk to you like a professional seeing you have a concern that’s very poor business. If and when we ever get this table back, we won’t use this shop again. We were waiting to see what kind of work they did because we did have another piece we wanted done but not now not after the way we have been treated.
