I’ve had such great experiences purchasing from Cannon’s Auctions. I won several small items & couldn’t make it to pick them up due to an emergency with my dog. This was the day I was supposed to pick the stuff up & I contacted the individuals who were coordinating each auction. They were so kind & easy to deal with when they had a right to be irritated with me for contacting them on pick-up day. They do such a good job taking multiple photos of each item & then describing it. They do this for literally thousands of items almost weekly. Ya’ll have got a customer for life!

I've purchased multiple items over the last 2 years and have found the staff very helpful.  I have gotten some great deals on unique and interesting items...furniture, kitchen items and some beautiful jewelry, etc..  You need to preview items carefully before bidding, but there are lots of high end quality items in their auctions.

This auction house is amazing. I had an issue with my invoice which was totally my fault. The woman at the front was very understanding and had the issue resolved before I left the building. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially the man and woman who take in the consignments and also the Australian man.

Excellent place to shop or consign. If you want to declutter or scale down, this is the place. Also, you can find some real treasures.

Great way to purchase a variety of items!

If you are into treasure hunt and a bargain shopper, you will find valuable antiques, fine jewelries, English China, furniture, records... you name it.  However, it can be addicting and time consuming.

I  have always got a great deal where I have made money .  I have purchased original art  for cheap.   I purchased a painting today for 67.00 when I looked up the artist before bidding I found her paintings sell for 1000 up

Cannon’s is the BEST IN THE INDUSTRY! You can count on all of your items showing up in the auction. Payment is prompt and very detailed. This is by far the MOST PROFESSIONALLY run auction business in the Metro Richmond area and surrounding areas.
I have been in the business and retired. I have used most of the “other” auction places in town and surrounding areas to consign my items. I have found many of the “ other”companies practices to be questionable , losing items, spreading them over several auctions over a year, not receiving timely payments or payment at all...
You won’t find this happening with Cannons. Your items will be handled professionally, promptly, well organized and sold quickly with EXCELLENT results.
Not only am I pleased with how well they handle my consignments, the expediency of payment but the final selling prices have been higher than I expected.
I will ONLY used Cannons for all future consignments.
Finally, as a buyer also, I have found them to have a great selection, great preview hours and flexible with pick up if circumstances prevent on time pick up.

Very diverse inventory that changes every week. I love walking through on my lunch break to see what new gems I can find.

Being a new to estate sales, I gave Cannon online estate auctions a try and it was a great experience. I picked up my items and they were as described and as pictured.  I spoke to Clide via email to get a few questions answered and replied promptly and was easy to work with.  The employe's at the house that we picked up the items were pleasant and friendly too.

I recommend this business because of their customer service and wide selection. I will be using them again.

I've been buying from Cannon's Online Auction for several years.  This is one of my favorite places!  This is a family owned business, where you'll find the owner and his family working in the store.  Being a business owner myself,  I'm 100% supportive of small business owners.  The Cannons have always been a pleasure to deal with, are genuinely  kind people, and professionals to top it off.  They have a loyal, knowledgeable staff, whom in my experience, have always been friendly and professional as well.  The business is well run and I've never had any problems with the items I've received.  My experience is that Cannon's is always willing to work with the customers to resolve any problems they may have.

This IS an online auction business.  You can view the items up for auction online, bid on the items, then pick "your winnings" up at the Cannon location, once the auction has ended.  Take full advantage of the opportunity to visit the actual Cannon store to "Preview" the items you're interested in,  before placing your bid online.  Cannon's is open most of the week for people to preview auction items.  This way you'll know what you're getting.  You only have yourself to blame if you bid on an item without looking at it first, and end up disappointed because it's not what you expected.  Take advantage of this luxury!  ;)

I've bused for the past four months.... I've received Great Items. If not for this Company my house would still have tables and assessers. But no furniture. I am grateful and I Rate this Company 100%!!!

Beware of buying counterfeit goods! Not only that the staff will encourage you to purchase it as well. One staff member said it’s beautiful I would buy it if I could afford it. Amanda or Nicole (it’s one or the other) told me that it came from an affluent home. Which lead me to believe it was a genuine bag. They are not to be trusted. Be an experienced buyer or do your homework.  The ladies probably get paid off commission. I am so dissatisfied. My bank wants me to get it appraised before refunding my money. I don’t want to spend another dime. It is against the law to sell dupes. Still working on a plan. Don’t be me!

Customer service was not very good got a desk and no one ever offered to help load it I could probably see if I was a younger person getting it but then again you pay 18% for services ! Had to move other stuff out the way to get to the desk they told me I had to move it   I guess I'll be going elsewhere !

I have purchased many items from this auction house. And have always been pleased with my purchases. Recently I had a couple of interactions with Amanda in which she was incredibly rude and condescending.

I'll spare everyone the details. But I just wanted to let Amanda know that kindness is met with kindness in others. And rudeness met with rudeness. It's the natural way of the world.

It takes sooo much less energy to be kind. And your life will only be improved.

I’ve purchased plenty of items through Cannons Auctions. I have always felt as though they were one of the more trustworthy auction houses. I appreciate the clear description of items and the ability to preview before bidding. So overall I’ve been very happy with the service. However my last experience wasn’t as good. I clearly had the highest bid, they acknowledged they could see I had the highest bid, also acknowledging it was a third party technical issue. They awarded it to the second highest bidder and told me it wasn’t anything they could do, I now question their integrity because good business is explaining to the second highest bidder a mistake was made, that they did not actually win the lot and it is going to the highest bidder. I am not anger, I don’t have anything bad to say about Cannons however I do believe this situation is being handled poorly.

Cannons Auctions is not a good place to sell furniture, but it seems like a great place to buy it.  You are much better off selling your belongings to a consignment shop or on Facebook.  I lost money on 4 large pieces of furniture on negative commission.  I paid them money to sell my furniture and didn’t receive money back for it.  The total was negative for 2 dressers and 2 large tables.  Please explain how that is possible.  Would never recommend selling your possessions or your family members possessions at this auction facility.

Definitely do jot recommend selling here we made a huge mistake. And basically donated our furniture for free. We took really high end good quality wood furniture and no one bids, and your items go for nothing. You can get much more selling it any other way. Just want to warn people so they dont take a massive loss like we did

Lisa, could you elaborate? I see that you are new bidder and placed bids on the last 3 gallery auctions but have never actually purchased anything. Are you perhaps disappointed that you were outbid on those items? It is an auction with hundreds of other folk participating so that is to be expected. Sketchy / Response to owner - in the last leg of the auction time was increased by 3 minutes leaving certain items with an average of 12 minutes left.  Went back within time either item was gone or when I tried place a bid the item this was closed.

Horrible customer service when viewing items in store and picking up. Woman working was incredibly rude while browsing items in store while my husband was picking up an item. You need to train your "people" in customer service skills and tact.

As a neighbor of an estate that was auctioned.  Cannon is very irresponsible in the logistics of customers coming to pickup items.   In our case tow trucks were pulling trucks out of the mud.   Multiple neighbors had their ditches damaged by vehicle parking and one neighbor had cars parking way up into their driveway while a constant flow of people trampled through their entire yard with boxes, furniture, etc.   So Im not sure how the auction went but I could see that the logistical portion of the event had no planning involved.   This is not even mentioning the torn up yard and driveway of the estate itself.   I would highly hope no one would use their services unless they take the logistics into their own hands.  I only wish I could rate this with 0 stars.

Went to pick up my first auction win since Cannon’s reopened after quarantine this morning and will not be back. They are not enforcing their own stated mandatory mask policy whatsoever. Two employees and *multiple* customers were not masked this morning, including one unmasked couple who hustled through and past the waiting, distancing and mask wearing customers, at least half a dozen times, huffing and puffing, not respecting any distance, breathing all over everyone and everything. No employees challenged them at all, one of them actually cited HIPAA to me...as though that has any bearing on whether or not a business chooses to allow people through its doors without basic safety protocols.

Quite a shame. As a vintage furniture artist, this was one of my favorite haunts. I’ve spent hundreds there picking up dozens of unique pieces in the past year. But I won’t do business with unethical people. 🤷‍♀️
