It’s not just craft/art supplies you can also get teaching or office supplies, amazing place to check out. If you have kids getting into art this is amazing, you could get them tons of crayons, pencils, markers, paper, etc for low price.

It's amazing what all they have there.  From craft to office supplies, old photos to books and magazines, fabric, sewing machines, paints..to...  You name it.  It's fun to browse.

Such a great spot to promote sustainable use of materials!! Good quality products, reasonable pricing given they are second-hand, and a massive variety of art materials. Big fan, highly recommend you check it out.

A one of a kind reuse store that has everything you could imagine for crafting, art and other hobbies. Nearly every time I’ve called here, thinking they don’t have what I’m looking for, I’m impressed by the stock of items they have for sale. Before you hit that big box store, you’ve gotta got to SCRAP.

I love this place! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the stuff they had in was amazing and priced very decently, and I love knowing that I saved stuff from landfill that I otherwise would have bought new for my crafting projects :D

I am absolutely amazed that I have lived in Richmond so long and never been to Scrap RVA! The team who works here is so welcoming and warm and the amount of supplies offered is every artist's dream.

If you are a teacher, THIS is the spot to be! Markers, pens, glitter, stickers, paper, rulers, anything you can imagine! All for prices so astoundingly low you can fill your entire classroom with art and supplies for months without breaking the bank!

Please keep doing what you're doing! This is such an incredible way to make art accessible and fun without wasting any material! Out of ALL the shops I have been to in Richmond, Scrap RVA definitely makes the top three. Thank you so much for all that you do for artists and the community. Thank you.

Terrific store for low priced arts and crafts. They have an amazing selection of fabric, paper, rubber stamps, knitting/crochet needles/hooks, yarn, paint, art books, and so much more. Everything is organized by category and section. Parking is a challenge. I had to park two blocks down in a side street after the circling the block.

this place is fantastic! wide array of choices & the prices are *actually* reasonable! when i went it was a constant revolving door, so it seems to be *very* popular! Despite being busy, though, all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. it's a tiny shop, so browsing can get real cozy. per their profile on Google Maps, they offer curbside pickup too. it was just a really wonderful experience all around!

Just visited this place today was able to find yarn cardstock and paint brushes for my classroom. Everything is neatly organized. The only thing I would say is be prepared to parallel park. I will be returning though great place for finds and staff was wonderful explaining things

This place is amazing. If you need any sort of craft supply, I guarantee you they have it. They take donations. If you finish a project, take them the remainder. If you decide that you are done knitting now that the pandemic is over, you can know that someone else will be happy to take the supplies off your hands. Those virtual paint night canvases you never used. Drop them off. They have a donation list on their website as, while they take most things, they don't take everything, so it's best to check first. Even if you don't see it on the list, call to verify as some items they take until they have too many so you never know. Never shop big box for crafts again!

I was totally overwhelmed with my first visit. there was way more stuff to sort through than I anticipated. But I mean that in the best way. I could spend hours sorting through all the random goodies. I walked away with about $100 worth of high quality knitting supplies for $12. I mean, that's incredible! I'm excited to hear that they will be expanding. Hopefully that will make it easier to sort through everything. Really excited to go back very soon! Plus the neighborhood is really artsy. It was a fun day trip.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I love the mix of everything that you might want to use in an art/craft endeavor... not just supplies but also oddities that inspire you to use them in weird (good weird) ways. Yes, they need more space and that is under way.. . a new bldg is sprouting across the street. Yes, when someone comes in with a truckfull of donations, there's really no place to process them. For now, they're doing the best they can and I'm just glad they're there!

Found a beautiful mixed media print, canvas platform, and hand-painted art tiles, all for $11.

I was a fan of the concept before I got the chance to shop, and now I'm even more blown away! Think of all those little useful things you save or want to save just in case you need them for something. Think of all the stuff you have and never end up needing to use. Think of all the needs you come across but oops you don't have one of those, so you still end up paying a premium at a big box store.

When you visit Scrap RVA, you're given the opportunity to browse and utilitize the shared little-useful-thing collection of an entire city, and you essentially pay only a nominal fee for the convenience.

I got a coffee table illustrated encyclopedia of artistic glassworks, a sleek 2-compartment pencil cup, a pocket tape measure, a pocket enclosed pencil sharpener, and a very solid wood-framed basket as big as a kitchen trash can. All for less than the cost of my fast food order on the way home!

Wonderful discovery on our travels from Milwaukee, WI!  So many great treasures, ideas and fun!  Hoping to get back in the next day or so on our way home!

What a great place for crafters of all sorts.  I stopped by to drop off some supplies I had accumulated.  The store is full of all kinds of supplies like yarn, stained glass, fabrics, stamps, and beads.  The list could go on.  So donating here keeps the supplies from getting trashed and shopping here supports a local business and the environment.  Nothing but winning here!  And the pricing is so good you'll laugh at the big box "coupon" prices.  Make sure to plan enough time because there is such variety you may get lost for days!

It's a fantastic place to go in and get ideas from. As a crafter you're always like a deal, as well as a place to drop off your unwanted items. This place gives you the power to do both at a very reasonable cost

This is a great store for anyone feeling crafty or DIY. Theres so much to choose from...ribbons, baskets, picture frames, mattes, jewelry making supplies, painting and drawing materials, scrapbooking albums and materials.. and so much more!

Love this place! I got a ton of awesome craft stuff,jewelry, cards, and a lot of vintage things as well as new things. A huge bag for under $5. It is amazing the stuff they have in this store. It's a treasure trove for crafters and moms! I just wish the parking situation was better. It's always hard to find a space on the street or on one of the side streets.
They need a store here in Chesterfield or Midlothian area please! Lots of crafting moms would appreciate it!
The store is just a drive for us but well worth it. I heard about it from a friend and have been recommending it for over a year now. It is a 5 + star store for sure. The classes and events are awesome as well.

Absolutely fantastic place! I went in just wanting to look around at what sort of cross stitch stuff they might have and ended up finding much more! For only $4 I got three skeins of embroidery floss, two pattern pamphlets, a roll of waste canvas, three keychains for cross stitch, a mystery pack of stickers, a plastic bin with compartments, and a metal miniature!! There was an incredible array of sections and everything as labelled very nicely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I look forward to showing my crafty friends this place.

the best store for odd stuff, accepting all kinds of art supplies for tax slip. Creators heaven I have seen them expand and move. Nice friendly.

I went and checked out this place. It's kind of cool how people donate stuff and also recycle stuff so that it can be made into something else awesome. It's not as big as I thought it would be but I was very happy

Wonderful small place with TONS of assorted art supplies grouped by category. Great prices,  surprises. Findings. Donations came in while shopping. Price at least 50% off retail or less.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this store. But I HATE the location.  I have a hard time finding parking and I honestly do not think it is that great of an area. I would for sure frequent more if they weren't at their location!

Nonexistent street parking. Asked for directions for the supposed "parking in the back" and told to find a gravel road. Maybe put up a sign, please, as to WHICH gravel alley one us supposed to use? Also, while I understand the rationale for it, the "choosey beggars" policy does not sit well with me.

I made a donation today. I called ahead to specifically ask if they accepted the office supplies I had. They said "yes". When I dropped off the owner seemed irritated.  The volunteer was very helpful and thankful.  Not the owner.

We are so sorry! Being a small non-profit means that we have limited time, space and staffing to be able to handle large donations. We usually ask that larger donations are brought in a little easier for us to process, and this time of year we are especially busy with customers too- so our frustration was unfortunately taken out on you.

I would advise anyone considering making a donation to visit the location to be educated about the donation process prior to donating. A family member of mine is an avid crafter and was excited to pass on a plethora of items to SCRAP after finding their website online. Unfortunately, she did not click to review the 15 separate categories of accepted and non-accepted items on the website, and sent me with 150 lbs of items that I had to haul in from a side street since there is no on-site parking. The staff member this evening expressed irritation with the size of the donation and that we had not familiarized ourselves with their organizational systems and organized everything ourselves in advance. I left feeling as though I had done absolutely nothing but burden her with our donations.  I hope to spare anyone else interested in donating to SCRAP from the same experience.
