Love love love this store.  Clean, fair prices and Ruthie is head and shoulders above the crowd.

Such a great thrift store with friendly staff and amazing pricing! I’ve been to this store several times and have never had a bad experience. For the amount of stuff in their store, it’s very organized and well kept. They have plenty of clothes, shoes, home decor & more. 10/10 would recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

I love this place.  They are Always super friendly and I always find cool stuff!  Prices are cheaper than Goodwill.

Not a large space,  but wide variety of household items,  clothing and shoes for men, women and children,  decorative items, artwork and picture frames,  and smaller amount of jewelry and accessories.  Courteous and helpful staff.

This place gets some pretty cool stuff and the prices are very reasonable.

My goodness,  where do all the negative reviews come from?  Been living in the area for ages and have been to both this one and the Ashburn one.

These stores are staffed by volunteers, not marketing and retail experts.  The pattern that I've noticed is that many items that don't sell are eventually reduced in price but I can't guarantee that every single one of them get treated to the same price reduction schedule.  It isn't as if they have all the SKUs in an inventory system and go about systematically pricing everything correctly from the get go.

If something is priced incorrectly, it won't sell and eventually they should notice it.  I get the feeling that some might be just upset that they couldn't get some item at dirt cheap prices just because it was priced just above their bargain hunting instincts.  Hey, everyone loves a great deal but no one has a right to one when they feel like it.

Go there as a place to browse.  Be flexible and don't have huge expectations.  If you want regular retail environments, go to a regular retail store.  If you want to take it easy and hope for the serendipitous, then maybe this could be the place some day.  I always enjoy my visits even if I never end up finding or buying anything.

Oh, couple more things... this store is in Sterling, not Leesburg so keep that in mind when reading the reviews.  Also, last I understood they take donations for sale, not passing on to the poor - so No, they don't have to accept everything.  Maybe you should ask what they do accept before you assume that they ought to take anything you happen to have.

Very large thrift store, has quite a bit of little unique finds. Pricing a tad high on some items, ebay pricing or higher sometimes.

I visit often, but only occasionally find something interesting to buy, but that's true with any thrift store. Occasionally things are priced too high, but I occasionally find a good deal. I mostly look for electronics, and radio and computer stuff, and other odds and ends.

I’ve found a few good things there, specifically kids music CDs, but I agree that some items are overpriced. Also, I’m surprised by some of the things that they sell. Some stuff is just plain dingy and probably no one would want them. Also, their travel guides are waaay out of date. Like, things have changed in NYC a bit since the 90s...

Kind of a run down thrift store, nothing much to say. I've never really found anything amazing, though I'd rather just go to a Goodwill or Salvation Army.

This location has been here for years and was very nice several years ago. Went there this weekend and was majorly disappointed. The store has a musty odor and the selection was the pits. All I saw was garbage and junk. I know this location gets great donations, but where do they go? Not on the sales floor. Probably will not go again or donate here. So sad.

I just dropped off hundreds of dollars of clothes and household items and I saw a used paperback in a crate on the table and asked if I could have or buy it. Emphatically said, No, we have a deal with a used book dealer and he's coming and they're counted. No let me check with the manager, just NO! This was in Leesburg. Makes me wonder if I should go back.

Didn't have what I was looking for but directed me to another location. 2 stars because it's pricier than expected.

Prices can be a bit high for a thrift shop, they aren't particularly friendly even when they aren't busy and the store isn't busy either, they start turning lights out ten to closing, and right at closing time they walk over and tell you they're closed even if you're heading towards the door.  No "did you find what you were looking for?" or "do you need to check out?", even if you're the only one shopping.  If you aren't already in line at closing time with stuff to buy, don't ask to see anything behind the counter; they'll just say sorry, we're closed.  Really off-putting when the only time you can get there is just before closing time.  Also, they play really religious music.  If they were friendlier, I'd go there more often despite the music and the prices, because occasionally I've found nice things there.

Horrible customer service. Manager is very rude.
I have given several thousands of donations to this place and will never donate again.
Manager and employees at this place need to understand that because  of our donations they are getting paid and have a job. Please be respectful to everyone, especially the manager.

I was in this store yesterday with my 2 year old. The store was absolutely filthy and so were a lot of things being sold. I dealt with it and purchased a few items anyway.  ALL but 1 things were either missing pieces or didn’t work! I’m very disappointed and so was my son (the items missing pieces were for him).
2 puzzles- missing pieces
Humidifier- leaked water all over my island and carpet
Toy trash truck- the only thing that worked

The people working inside the store are very sweet, my issue with this store is the donation person in the back of the store. Multiple times he has rudely turned me away from donating items in great condition. I’ve also seen him take things that I’ve donated and place them in his own vehicle. I didn’t confront him about it because he’s been a bit aggressive in past interactions. I’ve finally decided to drive another 15 minutes away to donate to another store where they are courteous.

I stop by today, on Google they claimed to be open but found out they’re not!

No stars should be an option. Rude, condescending staff. I was going to buy some books, but a rude woman told me I was not allowed to scan books. I guess they dont want money to feed the needy.

Wow!  Brought a whole van of designer clothes, toys and household goods.  I was told by a very rude employee (short man, short black hair) that they don’t take several items.  He saw the “Dress me Elmo” in the bag, said no stuffed animals. I took it out to toss in the trash. He said that he’d report me and that there is a $500 fine.

Way to treat people donating to your charity.

Also, they don’t take blankets!!!   Isn’t this a charity for homeless?

I loved this thrift store in the past, but everything is overpriced now. There is one man who works there who is very friendly and inviting, but the blonde, supposedly russian lady behind the counter keeps me from coming to shop here. Extremely rude, rbf (maybe) and will ignore you. Dont waste your time here; I recommend going to the Leesburg or Ashburn branch.

Employees are extremely rude and raise the prices of their items while ringing out. Looked at a game to buy that they advertised as $3, asked them to hold it at the counter for me while I shopped, came back to a sticker pricing the game at $7.50. Also, the lady at the counter July 11th afternoon was ignoring customers as they came to the register because she was on her phone, in addition to talking to her other co-workers. Unbelievable...

Whoever prices the items in this thrift shop must be out of their mind. They sell clothes for more than any outlet would, example: I found a new with tags (retail price of $24) Ann Taylor skirt and they had it priced at $16 what the heck?! Everything is waaayyyy overpriced, even pricier than goodwill. Not a good thrift shop to visit if you're trying to bargain hunt.

I had such high hopes for this place but it was just awful. The customer service was horrible. First, I asked the sales associate behind the counter (who was on her phone) to please show me a few necklaces. She proceeeded to have an attitude as if I was bothering her. Next, she left the necklace forms on the counter and I decided I didn't want any so I walked over to the other jewelry case. I left the necklaces right there as I didn't want to interrupt her complaining session to another lady about how another employee rearranged the jewelry case and messed everything up. Lastly, she saw that I left the necklace forms with the necklaces on the counter and looked over at me and said, "UMMM," with a snarky tone that I had taken something. I lifted my hands up and proceeded to tell her that I had nothing. There were several more pieces in the jewelry case that I wanted to look at but that experience was so god awful that I decided against it and left. Very upsetting.

Ran by jerks who stand behind the counter and talk crap about customers. I also heard they sell the good stuff on eBay. A lot of good that does your community. People without much money come to try and find nicer things a little cheaper to help them out and you sell the good stuff online? Not very crunch like.

I brought my daughter in to get a few items. I was so disrespected I had to tell them I was in line and it was rude to take clients before me the one lady name Annabelle was EXTREAMELY RUDE. Just totally disappointed with the whole staffs attitude. They act as if they didn't enjoy SERVING the public. Whatever the tension was in the Hope Treasure it sure didn't represent the Christian music being played. I spoke with the manager whom I couldn't understand due to language barrier. When speaking with her she was not very sympathetic on her staffs attitude.
At the same time Annabelle is at the other end of the counter taking cash and there's no register taking cash from another lady she put in front of my daughter since she had a voucher. I guess that's how the Hope Treasure treats needy people.
