I went to Classic Consignments today and bought a chair. I was really happy with what I found and they were very helpful. I'm definitely going back.

I only regret that they were closed on memorial day. It would have been a perfect day to go back and pick up items that I didn't want to carry around the whole weekend. I feel like you could do a lot more business on a holiday from those of us just visiting the area. The prices were great and there were very nice pieces.

I brought some friends from out of town into the shop on Sat.  They had chosen this as one of the places they wanted to return this year after their experience on their last girl's weekend shopping trip.  They left saying "I will never step foot in that store again!"  They were very offended at the haughty, snobbish attitude they perceived from one of the owners who was there.  There was no welcome or greeting when we arrived.  In fact, we were unaware of anyone even sitting behind the counter for some while after we arrived.  They took particular offense to the owner's attempt to "educate" us as to how valuable certain pieces were, as if we were too ignorant to understand what we were looking at.  No, we did not purchase anything on this visit because everyone was being very selective so as not to over indulge in things which would just contribute to clutter in our homes.  I, personally, have shopped at this store for well more than 10 years, although very infrequently since the move to the current location.  And I will continue to stop in when in the area on a hunt for treasures.   It is sad that my friends will be unlikely to return, even when shopping at other nearby stores.  I have seen a recent review with a similar complaint, which I assume was regarding the same individual.  Perhaps she might want to reconsider her approach to interacting with customers.

decent place with decent items.. unfortunately I found few things that were marked and priced as Waterford when Indeed they weren't,  two were Gorham, and a third one was an even more regular brand. For me misleading the customers is a No-No, somebody that doesn't know any better is going to buy those items thinking they are buying Waterford when instead they are buying something else. Not cool!!

Hi Jeanine, I am a bit confused by your review.  Our shop does not have a musty smell nor are our products in line with a garage sale.  We work very hard to keep a nice shop.  I would like to speak to you to find out more and so we can make it a nicer experience for people when they come in the shop. I would love it if you called me at 757-220-1790 to speak. Michelle

Musty smell.   Believe the woman we had contact with us is the owner- extremely rude-  merchandise more in line with a garage sale.  Not worth the time to visit since there are so many more nicer ones in the area

Sadly dishonest. Bought an item that they advertised as coming with the box. The lady (using the term loosely) told me she couldn't find the box, but too down my number to call me when she asked her colleague who would know where it was. I never got a call, so I returned in person to ask about it. She told me she couldn't find it, and offered no apology for not calling me to tell me so. She then had the gall to say that just because they say it comes with the box doesn't mean it will actually come with the box.

In short, the store is run by a dishonest woman who is so comfortable with being a liar that she will even say that her word has no value

People here just make you feel uncomfortable.
It's like you feel they're watching you to see if you're going to steal anything and then you remember you don't steal.

The employees did not talk to us the entire time we were in the store.

I have been to this establishment on four separate occasions, NEVER was I nor my guest ever greeted cheerfully much less even acknowledged! I purposely dress down to go shopping at times, just to see how customers are treated, at different stores, and this place gets the BIGGEST LOSER PRIZE!! You are definitely JUDGED when you walk in, and this is the ONLY reason I have never spent a penny in this place!!! Gave them four separate chances, thinking maybe it was just a bad day, but it does not appear to be the case. But just want the owners of this place to know, I could have spent lots of money there, but because of the lack of respect, it was s BIG MISTAKE!
