I had a great first time experience with Scott and his firm. There was a handgun I was interested in on his Site. I left a message and he called back shortly after. He was patient with my questions; answered them all and he displayed a level of knowledge that convinced me he knew what he was talking about. I purchased the gun which was shipped out immediately and arrived several days later very impressively packaged. The gun itself was quite better than described; which convinced me even more this is a firm I want to continue doing business with, and that I would certainly recommend to others.

You won't find a dealer more knowledgeable in the material that he deals in. When you buy from Pre98, you are paying a fair price and getting exactly what is described. This is not the shop for bottom feeders, but if you appreciate quality, you won't be disappointed.

I’ve been a customer for quite some time and I must say Scotty and his staff are the BEST! They are friendly, very knowledgeable and ship absolutely the best firearms. So much of the stuff on this site is faked. I can’t believe more people haven’t noticed what a rip is considering this company is still in business. Their stuff is stupidly overpriced too. Check any other source for militaria but don’t deal with these dudes.

Kinda pains me to write this review. I have bought 3 ww2 hi-powers from them. The last one was listed with German marked magazine. When I got down there it had a post war mag. The guy told me that they had just copied and pasted the listing from another hi-power they had sold. I wasn’t really happy about that because none of the description was about the pistol I had came there for. Nonetheless they told me they would find me the proper magazine. I stressed that I had already searched for this magazine for my other hi-power rigs but he reassured me they had great connections and within two weeks they would send me the mag. Well couple months later I got a wartime unmarked magazine. I guess it’s better than nothing. Of all people I would think they would understand the difference in value a single German marking can make. They sure know when they list them.

If these slick cats could do to sick people what they do to military guns, they would be the best surgeons on Earth. Buyer beware, you will have better luck at Sarco or Royal Tiger Imports, at least you know that theirs haven’t been monkeyed with. They are only polite as long as you don’t challenge the authenticity of their products; at which point they will name call and block your accounts.
