We have visited this antique shop every summer that we are in the area. Our advice is to call because they close one day a week & it changes.

Such a cool shop and an excellent coin/currency section. I worked with Chuck to buy my first Morgan and silver certificates. I sincerely cannot wait to return and learn more about money history from Chuck.

My fiancé and I stopped in here about a month ago while we were visiting in town for my birthday. The staff were incredibly kind and fun! They gave me a six pence for my shoe for our wedding! Definitely a must stop

Visiting Bennington for the first time from New Jersey and we are so happy we decided to stop at this store! John and chuck were absolute gems - so wonderfully helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about all the interesting pieces in the shop. Now the shop - wow. It is worth a look. They have so many cool items we spent an hour walking around just looking at everything before we settled on purchasing a few vintage pieces that we loved (very very affordable and well priced!!) and they are such wonderful momentos of our trip here to Bennington. Thank you Antiques on Main Street for being a special part of our trip :)

What a fascinating place to visit! Took my nine year old granddaughter to look at the coins on display by Chuck "The Coin Man", and to purchase some Indian Head pennies to start her collection. Chuck was in great demand that morning, yet he found time to talk with us about coins, and show us some beautiful ones. While looking around the rest of the store, John showed us a wonderful chess set, some really big bells, some early cameras, and so many other things! Though I wouldn't advise taking more than one child at a time with you, my granddaughter learned a bit of history, and really enjoyed our visit to Main Street Antiques!

This is an amazing place to stop by on Main Street in Bennington! I got a gift for my boyfriend here (a leather hip/belt bag that soldiers used to wear in battle to carry ammunition, repurposed as a pouch for his phone and wallet) and he loved it! I even asked the owners whether I could return the bag if he didn’t like it, and they said they could work something out with me. There is a good selection of many interesting, unique vintage/antique items here, and the store owners are extremely friendly and are very conversational & helpful if you ask them questions. I received many suggestions for gift ideas once I told the people working here what I was generally looking for, and they also made small talk about my life as a current student at Bennington College. All in all, I was very satisfied with my experience perusing the shop — it is a fun place to explore with excellent customer service!

The people that own/work here are great. I bought a watch and Chuck helped take out a link so that it fit better, which he really didn't have to do! It was very kind. I had a great experience :)

This is a great store! The people running it are friendly and helpful, and know a lot about what they are selling. There's a wonderful variety of antique knives, cooking equipment, clothes, tools, and more! Make sure you don't miss the collection of coins in the back. The man who sells them is an expert.
