Great place. Best thrift store anywhere around. Great prices on furniture compared to other local places

Love the store I've gotten multiple things here for really reasonable pricing they have everything from kids bikes to electrical and plumbing and pretty much anything in between including the kitchen sink

Even though what is in the store may change from day to day to make it hit or miss on what you're looking to get, what they do have is a great variety at reasonable prices. Sometimes you can even haggle with them.

My other favorite salvage and reclaimed useful furniture, tools, parts and all kind of stuff store. And it all benefits rebuilding homes for others in the White River Junction area. I saw the most amazing dining room set - table 6 chairs, sideboard and china cabinet for just 800 bucks. I wish I needed it, amazing!

This is a delightful serendipitous sort of place; I have found wonderful stuff there—-and they have a really good used book section too.  I have found hardcovers there, some Pulitzers, Man Bookers, great authors—in clean, very good condition.  The personnel who work at Recover area really helpful too.

Wonderful range of interesting useful items - lots of furniture and lighting, hand tools, hardware, fittings, miscellaneous housewares/dishes, HVAC bits and bobs - bits and bobs galore! Books also. Lovely place to putter through, lots of treasures.

COVER is the best place to go in the Upper Valley for affordable furniture and appliances. Proceeds from sales go directly to funding home repairs. A phenomenal organization!

This is the all time favorite place. You can find almost everything you need here. All house hold items. Freezer, fridges, beds, wood, kitchen supply's, dressers, lamps, speakers, washer and dryers, curtains, hard plastic plumbing tubes, suit cases, etc. You name it. A ton of nails, screws, locks, and all sorts of beautiful antique drawer handles

A gem of a place. Great way to help the community with their own remodeling etc.

Usually I donate furniture but was looking for a bookcase and was amazed to find a match to my old kitchen chairs  (my mom's from the 40's). It was only $5 - wow.

Fiance and I like to come here once every week or so, great deals and most staff is personable and friendly. However, on our last visit we had a bit of an awkward experience and the clerk didn't seem interested in mitigating the situation.

My wife was in the middle of checking out and a guy came over and started dumping his items on the counter where our items were still being scanned. This guy was apparently some kind of local celebrity named Rocket, we know this because the clerk started chatting him up immediately and almost started checking him out, and probably would have if we weren't in the middle of a transaction on the POS. And then she seemed to call my wife a man? We won't stop coming but it definitely wasn't a pleasant experience.

Better quality of donations are coming in from past years. Prices are so much more reasonable.

By appointment - I got a nice coffee table and couch.

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, due to staffing and logistical challenges, our box truck is limited to providing pickup services for donations. We are interested in providing delivery services in the future if logistically feasible.

For all the community services they provide you drop 200 on a used mattress and they refuse to deliver locally even though they have a box truck. Ridiculous. 4 employees including box truck driver standing around literally doing nothing. I live 3 miles away customer service means nothing to them

We have been shopping at the Recover Store for years while we buy and rehab homes for lower income folks to live in. I had a recent event that I felt should be reported.

When I was in the store a week ago I was advised by the new manager that on Wed I should come back later in the day because she was getting in a whole household of high end products., including some appliances.

I came in at 4:30 to see if there was anything I could use in a recently purchased home we were rehabbing for a young family. The manager seems flustered and overwhelmed. She on the spot gave me a price for a store and asked me to price a sink which I did and bought. I told her I wanted to purchase the new washer and dryer unit....name her price. She said she wanted to research the retail price as they were brand new. I advised her they would retail at least for 895 each, she thought 1000 each, and offered her 450-500 each. She said she would call me the next morning with a price but that I could buy them the next day after she had time to google them. I agreed saying I would be back at 1pm the next day with a check and would buy them when I picked up the stove at 1pm. She agreed.

When I arrived the next day at 1pm as agreed they were being loaded onto someone else's truck. She had sold these brand new appliances for 300 each... less than a 1/3 of the original price. I do not know if it is memory issue or a lack of knowledge about how much new appliances should be sold for but I was surprised and angry that she would go back on her word when I was prepared to pay 50% more for them the day prior. Seems a poor decision on her part unless she was selling them to a friend???

We are sorry to hear that you had such an experience at our store. Our organization's mission is to Foster Hope and Build Community and it seems like we missed on both accounts here. We will review internally to make sure experiences like these do not happen in the future. 

Horrible experience trying to donate items. Staff was extremely rude on the phone, twice. Extremely rude, argumentative, and condescending in person. Changed their tune after they saw the quality of the items I was dropping off, which is off putting. Such a disappointing and disheartening experience under any circumstances let alone when you’re trying to do some good. Never again.

Woman at the counter was extremely rude, never shopping here again.

Be VERY CAREFUL when you buy something at the Re-Cover Store.  Do NOT pay for something and then agree to pick it later.  Take it with you immediately, or it may NOT BE THERE when you go back to pick it up!

We recently bought a used dishwasher. It was marked $25.  When we asked about it, one of the employees got angry about the price, saying that someone had mis-marked it, but they had to sell it to us at the price as marked.

We bought the dishwasher and were asked to place a SOLD tag with our name on it. We did not have our truck at the time, so we said we would come back to pick it up.  But when we went back to pick it up, the dishwasher was gone, and the SOLD tag with our name on it -- and the $25 price tag -- were on a different, far less desirable dishwasher. One that previously had been marked at $60.  We got our money back.

The next time we buy something at the Re-Cover Store, we will mark it, right on the item, in permanent ink, that it has been sold to US.  Or we will take the item with us immediately, even if we have to leave the trunk lid of the car open.

We have donated hundreds of dollars worth of furniture to this store. We will think seriously before doing that again.
