Howell Antiques is a long-standing antique store located in Ellensburg, Washington. Established over 30 years ago, this local shop has built a reputation as a destination for vintage enthusiasts and collectors.
According to one reviewer, Howell Antiques has "tons to look at plus a selection of huge items like signs, shop displays, and vintage vending machines in back." The store's owner, Anne, is described as a "nice Christian lady, with a deep knowledge of ware she acquired her items." This suggests that Howell Antiques offers a diverse inventory of antique and vintage goods, with a focus on larger, unique pieces.
The reviews indicate that prices at Howell Antiques may be "a bit high," but customers seem to appreciate the store's relaxed, "fun frustration free" atmosphere. As one reviewer notes, "it's mostly a fun hobby business for Anne nowadays, so for a fun frustration free visit don't go in expecting the owner to jump through hoops to get sale's or haggle much. Instead go in to have fun looking around and talking to the owner."
The positive reviews highlight the store's knowledgeable owner, eclectic inventory, and laid-back shopping experience, making it a unique destination for antique enthusiasts in the Ellensburg area.

This local antique / junk shop has been around for 30 plus years. The owner (Anne) is a nice Christian lady, with a deep knowledge of ware she acquired her items. There is tons to look at plus a selection of huge items like signs, shop displays, and vintage vending machines in back. FYI It's mostly a fun hobby business for Anne nowadays, so for a fun frustration free visit don't go in expecting the owner to jump through hoops to get sale's or haggle much. Instead go in to have fun looking around and talking to the owner. Have fun :)

Dropped by for the 3rd time to find this shop closed so I called the phone number listed on the door to see when they are open. The friendly voice said the were closed today (Sunday) and yesterday. They will be open next week., no hours given. Bottom line - call to see if they are open before making a special trip.

How do you expect to stay in business if you never have your store open.

Terrible phone eEtiquette, needs to work on customer service. We wanted to drive from Yakima to check out shop but after they way I was spoken to on phone to verify hours, along with poor reviews...forget it! Need to work on their customer service...being nice, is actually quite easy.

Open only in July and August. No prices on items. Owner sizes up shoppers and sets prices at what she thinks you're good for.

A friend & I drove down to Ellensburg from Soap Lake to go antiquing. We choose the hottest day out of the year to do this lol, but anyway, the 1st shop we try going to is Howell Antiques. On his web page it says it opens @ 10, so @ 11:15am, we arrived at his shop to find it closed, so I called the # posted on his door, & asked if he'd be opening soon, & he was just the rudest most meanest man ever!! People are entitled to have a bad day, but if your tired of running this business retire!!! Don't try to make others miserable cuz u r!
