Sometimes i forget to post a positive review even though i have visited a great place many times. Fun place to shop for more vintage style clothes but they are in good shape. Nice employees and one did a special kindness by giving me the price on the clothing instead of their tag price.  I especially like that they have larger sizes.

Vintage Heaven!!!!! Clean store, helpful stuff, so many treasures! Definitely worth a stop. We thought we would pop in for a a few minutes and ended up staying a couple of hours. Plan lots of time to enjoy!

This place truly is the best vintage shop I’ve ever been inside. I’d risk saying it’s worth a drive up from California. I scored the coolest vintage fur coat, and 1940s silk/velvet opera coat. Yes please!

They have a really great, eclectic selection of pieces, and the prices are reallly reasonable, especially compared to other thrift stores. I found a Juicy Couture velour hoodie here for $18, which is seriously unheard of. 100% worth checking out.

Dumpster Values is an awesome second hand store. Always treated well by all employees, my kids love this place! An Olympia staple, highly recommend!

Great finds in this nicely laid out store. Everything is beautifully displayed or sectioned with all items in clean, good shape and tagged with reasonable prices and good detailed information. We stopped in on the way to Seattle because my husband forgot his coat/jacket so we wanted to find something to make due while away from home. We both ended up finding a few perfect things that we loved. Worked out great! And, the staff was super chill and friendly. I wish I lived closer, if I did I would go frequently! Highly recommend. Go and have fun! You'll find cool treasures.

Great local thrift store. I've picked up several things that I use all the time. Prices are fair and there is an ever changing inventory.

Dumpster Values has been an arts community hub for many years. It's a vintage store, not a thrift store. They have great prices for a vintage store. If you need it to be cheaper you might try a garage sale. I can always leave with something great at a reasonable price. When I shop there I feel good about supporting a local woman owned institution.

They take donations until 5pm. And you get this going card with a few bucks for each item.

I love this place- always have ; what a great Oly.place, it started off small, grass roots style and its now a thriving local business.  Good job! Its the place where you will find everything you wanted and much much more . Like Olympia herself, "It's the water...and a lot more"!

This is such a great place. I could have spent an hour going through the crazy assortment of stuff. I suppose any individual visit might be hit or miss because they may not have what you are looking for on a given day but in general I think you'll find some really great stuff if you check in from time to time.

Best-ever curated vintage & thrift shop. They have extensive men's and women's sections. The prices here are some of the best I've seen anywhere! There's a whole lot of true vintage here, and it's all affordable.

Super cool selection of stuff, lots of different sizes and styles, not overpriced.

Easy to spend a solid hour or two here just browsing anything and everything. Coffee, skate, and music connected too. Definitely one of my favorite places to kill time in Olympia

Although they little more pricey than some other Thrift stores, their quality more than makes up for it. Great feel too and the employees are very kind.

The shop is a vibe. Good selection of options someone fashionable would be able to put toughen & made cute. Not I, though I did find a killer hat. I'll be back. It's 10/10 a suggestion, why not it's too coolest to check out.

I don't always find something I want, but I have occasionally found some really cool items.

I visited Dumpster Values in November 2014 and February 2015. Both times I was greeted when I came in. The shop was clean, well-organized, & easy to navigate. Lots of character too!
The staff was friendly both times, prices were totally reasonable. The sales girl clearly adored vintage clothing and wants everyone to feel good with their clothing selections. It's a must visit if you are going to be in downtown Olympia!

Very cute store. Prices vary, so don't expect cheap, but also don't expect overpriced. They recently started accepting cards which makes them 100% better.

They have a pretty good item rotation, and most of the items are fairly priced.

Dumpster Values features an equal amount of men and women's vintage clothing ranging from the 1930's to 90's.  I'd say the majority of items fall into the 1960's on.  The men's section is especially good.

They have a decent amount of accessories and shoes.  Prices are reasonable with regular discounts on items that have been in stock for awhile.

Friendly staff - worth a stop!

The store is neat and well organized. Used clothes and overstocks. Price seemed a touch too high, but it is downtown Oly and you are certain to find a one of a kind with a bit of browsing.

It's okay. If you're looking for vintage pieces, it's definitely a good place to go. The prices are pretty high though. I'm sure they're reasonable for what they are. Like, of you're a collector or connoisseur of vintage clothing, you'll be satisfied with the selection and prices. If you're an everyday thrifter/scavenger looking for some cheap clothes and trying to reduce waste and throwaway culture, this is NOT the place for you. Cool to look at like a museum might be. Most pieces were more than $30 each, some items were hundreds of dollars. Socks were $6 per pair. Damn. Not a budget-friendly place for sure. Anyway, it's not for everyone, but if you're into paying a lot of money for ancient clothing from 100 years ago, you will love it! Check out Goodwill Outlet for cheaper clothes.

Very little plus size clothing or shoes for women and virtually none for men. I keep forgetting  that fact when looking to find cute 2nd hand clothes, this store is not for big people

Nice clothes but they had a severe lack of Bell Bottoms for a store like that.

Fun kitchy shop, embedded with two others shops. Funky. Sadly, old building, old weird smell too.

Clothes are absolutely gorgeous but the workers were snappy twice and didn’t say a word to us unless we spoke to them then when cashing out asked only if cash or card nothing about are experience very disappointing

this place is great, but they need to train their staff a bit better on loss prevention. Every time i go in i’m followed around and watched, i manage a retail store so I understand the stress that comes with theft, but at least make it less obvious lol. my friend noticed the same thing, i offered to leave my bag behind the register to get them off of me. it was freezing the day i went in so i had a huge jacket on and it really could not have been any more obvious that they assumed i was going to steal something. i was followed around and watched but not once did someone check in, just stared. i pop in whenever i visit olympia but good god y’all make it uncomfortable lol

This used to be a great place to find second hand items.  Unfortunately that is no longer the case.  The prices are through the roof now.  They want almost 20 for a used baseball hat, 20 for a plain white button up.   It looks like a once solid local store has sold out.   Won't be returning.   There are plenty of other stores selling used stuff for far less.   It's sad

They are higher priced. Also, I feel they lack in the customer service department. I tried to  get the clerk s attention, but she paid no mind.

Bought a coat that was advertised as real black bear fur. When I got it home and took a closer look it’s fake fur.

It was an absolute waste of gas to go to a thrift store that the prices were absolutely outrageous. I'm not talking about a little high for a thrift store but so high that you would think you were shopping at Nordstroms. The selection of clothes did look like you took it out of my grandma's dumpster. I like vintage 80s clothes but not one thing would I buy there no matter what price it was. The music they had playing was also loud and scream music. Are they thinking of the customer when they play music like that. It was the worst thirty store I have ever been in.

What dumpster they’re referring to idk but the prices are insane and the selection is average. I don’t know how they stay in business

I went to the water park and my nephew forgot his shorts so I ran over here and found a pair of adidas shorts, they had cat claw marks all over them and were very basic. Paid 20$ because apparently they’re vintage, looked online 18$ brand new. I even mentioned the pricing and she assured me they’re vintage lol okay

I didn't even want to give it one star but that's the only way to comment. The next time someone calls on the phone asking if you buy clothes, let them know you only take vintage/ish clothes. That way they don't lug a 40gallon bag of clothes halfway across town for you to only take 3 items.

I was browsing around today in this store. Their prices are not great. But they had some cute, cheaper items I was considering buying. Then I found a US Navy issued pea-coat with the military tag stitched inside the collar removed and an "Avenue" metal tag, held on with chain that was obviously hand sewn in. I checked the inside of the bottom of the coat, and lo and behold, the tell-tale white stencil of a name and four numbers...I was in the Navy for 5 years. This was a military coat - falsely tagged, over-priced at $60, with the original Navy buttons still sewn on it.

I found this insulting and took it to the counter to make the staff aware of it. The clerk at the front was rude about and turned her back on me to take a phone call. I'm assuming it's because she did not want to own up to what amounts to be fraudulent retail sales. I don't know if anyone else cares that they are selling fakes, and using military gear to do so...but I walked out without buying anything and I will never return to a store that is so dishonest.
Two thumbs way down. Shame on the owner and the staff of this place.
