Friendly, knowledgeable, stocked, actually stocks sports cards & the fantasy/Pokémon cards. Prices were better or equal to other places. We purchased and were looking for retail boxes and packs. But as a newbie to collecting, I learned the difference between collector boxes and retail.  I'll be back for sure!

AJ Collectibles has been a great business. Adam, Chris and Matt at the Hartford store have been amazing to say the least. Purchasing hobby boxes, buying singles and packs. I havent been in the hobby for years until my 9 year old caught fire. I went to sports card shop after sports card shop. All of them unwilling to talk advise or educate. I was getting extremely irrated with the lack of reliable info since the market is so different from when I was a kid.

John... THANKYOU .... for being the guy to take the time and educate me on absolutely everything. John once again came through and cracked a very significant graded future HOF card so that it could get autograpghed. WHEN EVERYONE ELSE WOULDNT EVEN ANSWER QUESTIONS .... I can now shop confidenlty for my son as he grows his collection - ALL OF OUR PURCHASES WILL BE AT AJs ...

Took my grandkids there and found what we needed. Owner is a good guy. Plenty of supplies for your cards. 1.00 boxes kept the kids busy for a long time.

This shop was awesome! Lots of variety for sports collectors. They also carried some TCG cards. Was able to purchase a signed Josh Hader ball for only 50. Would highly recommend stopping in!

My personal experiences in coming into AJ’s for over a year has been great! Staff is friendly, they carry as much product as they can, and they price everything the best they can. You should definitely stop in, and don’t be shy to ask questions as they will give you all the help you need!

Great selection of cards and supplies, friendly staff. We drive over 30 minutes to go to this one. Loyalty program is a nice bonus. They also have a variety of fun online breaks for all kinds of sports.

I have been a customer of Aj’s Sports Collectables and Aj’s Breaks for a couple years.  The store is top notch and the guys that run the break room are as good as it gets.  You won’t find better pricing in any other break room on Facebook!  Extremely fast shipping and product is always packaged secure!!!

Friendly staff and very helpful plus their promotions are nice. They have a nice loyalty program and giveaways as well. I actually won a nice hobby box of illusions football in one of their raffles. Ive been there 6 times already in less than 2 weeks and I live over 20miles away. Breaks are very fair priced and breakers are top notch.

I see some negative comments from people who felt insulted when trying to sell cards to the shop, but that is not my experience. I know people can sometimes be attached to items and inflate the value in their head.

I don’t know what these random bad reviews are about. Everyone at this place is super friendly and they always have the best prices around. The break site is also ran by a few really good dudes. I wouldn’t spend my card money anywhere else. AJ’s is the best!

Theses guy are some of the good guys in the business. Done a lot of breaks with them and they do a great job getting your stuff out next day. I love the options on all the breaks for pick your own team to randoms. All sports included even wrestling and nascar. Lots of breaks for mem too!

Some of the "bad" reviews... if not all... are obviously "not of merit / truthful"...  Went in today for my 1st time after messaging a little bit with the owner/manager about some items I would like to sell for Xtra holiday cash.

I was not treated as if I knew nothing. In fact... I was invited in back while comping certain items... and Mike was an open book about comps and how the store operates with purchasing vs consignment and was upfront about what he could offer on what and why.  No secret. We BOTH want to make a little money and they need room to make a little profit as well. I had numerous cards as well as many jerseys that he was interested in and asked for time to look thru all the cards. Then.. went ahead and offered me a price for a few jerseys to help me put a little money in my pocket while he went thru the cards. Staff was very friendly... place was clean and very busy as well. Personally saw some staff members stay cool while dealing with a rude customer or 2, lol. As I said, it was my 1st time.. wont be my last and I'm very curious to see whats said about my card collection.

I highly recommend this place and the shelves are absolutely stocked with lots of product for many sports. Lotsa goodies in store!!

A great place to find sports memorabilia. A friendly staff that is helpful. Great selection of Brewers, Bucks, Packers, and other teams items. From bobbleheads to autographed pictures and jerseys.

Good prices as well. Most of their autographed items have certification of authenticity.  You can find plenty of things to add to your sports collection. No matter what your budget is.

AJ Collectibles has all the sports memorabilia you could ever want! They have so many cool autographs in there.  I had a custom made plaque made by them for my son that included several of his favorite players in one plaque where he can display his cards.   He spent his own allowance money on it and was very very pleased with the final product.  Highly recommend check this store out!!

Oh my god, where do I start. From all the sweet deals here and the TJ watt auto /10 to all the juiced boxes. This truly is the best card shop in Wisconsin.

The other shops and companies are so jealous that they are really giving 1 stars and making up story’s that aren’t even true. Aj is a super nice guy and same with all the other employees. They are so nice, donating cards to chairity and don’t even get me get me started with pack wars. They hit you up with free drinks and pizza and subs such a good vibe. Although I haven’t been able to make it the last couple times. The first time I ever went to one, I got a homie long signed jersey framed worth about $450 I got a derrius guice rookie prism gold base /10 sold for $130. And a mystery box valued at around $70. And a bunch of more base inserts and numbered cards. Guess how much I spent? Less then $100 no other place has this good deals, good customer service, or good and authentic products. I am so happy I found out about this shop. Because it’s the most fun I have had collecting.

I just had a very pleasant experience there.  They treated me great and gave me a great deal on some rpa cards.  I found them to be very upfront with their pricing, I.e buying and selling.  Super relaxed atmosphere.  They treat everyone exceptional regardless.  I didn't find that the case at Brew Town but I wish both dealers the best.  I will def be back.  Thank you.

I discovered this store while looking for an anniversary gift for my sports loving husband. I walked in and was greeted by Jeff.  I had a list and he jumped right in and helped me gather things. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. My husband was thrilled with my gifts. I took him to AJ’s and he was in sports collection heaven. We are frequent regular customers now. Our Mike Tyson, Hulk Hogan, and Nolan Ryan Autographs are awesome!!  We have attended Rip feats and for a novice I am found the excitement infectious!!!  Absolutely recommend this place!!!  Awesome owners, staff, and especially Jeff who welcomed Me that first day.

Great place. Took the time to look through my cards and explain the pros and cons of some, which I never thought they'd take the time to do. Don't believe the bad reviews. These people were very friendly and patient while I deliberated. They also had a huge selection of collectibles (and an insane amount of bobble heads). There's something for everyone there. I'm lucky I left with any money...

Visiting from CT to see Miller Park. Read good things about the store, so I decided to drop in before the game. I was really impressed... nothing like back at home. Great prices, incredibly friendly and experienced staff, huge selection of cards and autographs. I highly recommend going here if you are interested in the hobby!

Ordered something from them (Through Walmart's Website), Was supposed to come in 2 weeks or so. The company got it to me, exactly what I ordered, (Old Hess Trucks, as a present,)  in perfect condition, withing 24 hours. Thats Amazon level impressive. Had to leave a review, which is something I pretty much never do.

Honestly a well written review. It’s disappointing to hear of your recent experience. Our Greenfield store is our anchor but even without that fact you should have a great experience at any location. I know exactly who you are referring to and will work with this employee on his communication with customers. It isn’t acceptable. We will do better. 

Went with my three sons today, a little disappointed. We've been to the other AJs and never had a problem, thought we'd try this one. My three sons like to buy, sell, trade. Been doing this for over 30 years myself and we enjoy it. My first son brought a few cards, and an older gentleman went to the back to value the cards. We declined the offer, a little low for comps (about 60 percent), 65 to 70 is usual. My son wanted 200, he offered 150, not horrible, but we've been offered more and went back to the place that offered more. Even at that, no big deal, we declined. When my next son, who is 10! Went to give his cards to value, the old man was pissy and said he didn't want us to waste his time. So if you decline his offer, be prepared for rudeness. His offer for this sons cards were appropriate but we declined due to his prior rudeness. Losing future customers is never good for business. Prices were good for the hobby boxes.

Aj's has a decent selection of sealed hobby packs/boxes, singles, and autographed memorabilia, however their prices are average or a little high depending on the product. I would also caution about new collectors buying singles here, as the pricing was highly inconsistent from card to card. Some items were priced well, but others were over double the cards value. If you live nearby it is worth a stop, but otherwise I would stick to ebay or a closer shop if you have one, thanks.

The new store is well set up, very organized and clean with a pretty averse selection of jerseys. the one part that disappoints me is that it would be nice to see changeover in regards to the cards that are in the cases. when it comes to the individual card boxes, it would be much easier for everyone if the boxes were organized more efficiently and if they were more easily accessible to everyone to be able to look through them. Very nice staff overall and a very well run store that makes customers feel welcomed.

Oofda. Been awhile since I've been in. Won't be back.  Too many negatives to mention here. I do have one question....why are all the recent positive reviews from the owners wife, the manager, and others related?  Hmmmmm. Whatever.

I feel I was completely lowballed with the cards I was interested in selling. I’ve been to four places and that was the lowest offer out of anybody. I didn’t even bother showing the rest of what I had once I was given the first offer. They wanted to spend time and break it down, Why they were gonna give me what they thought would be fair and I wouldn’t even entertain it. also, while I was there, the kid behind the desk said it’s so nice out let’s open the door while it was 38° and windy and I sat there freezing waiting for my estimate and needless to say the wind came in and knocked over a $700 framed jersey and busted… I was treated nice and I understand they have to make a profit. But, I’m not gonna give my collection away either.

Hi Ben.  I'm very sorry to hear you had a less than "fantastic" experience at our store. The "grey haired weirdo" in the back room is Jeff, one of our long-time employees who has been in the card business for over 50 years.  We do business pretty much the same way with every customer.  You bring your cards in to sell or trade, we comp the cards ebay (or another reliable source), and we make you a cash or store trade offer, which you can accept or turn down.  Granted, we don't offer you the full value of the card, as we are a business, have expenses (payroll, overhead, etc.) and once in awhile would like to make a small profit as well.  I did discuss with "Jeff" and he mentioned that you had two (2) Kobe base cards and a bunch of 90's common cards.  Anyone who knows sports cards is aware that 90's cards were mass produced and have "very little" value whatsoever. I did take the time to call "the other card shop" down the street, but unfortunately no one remembers paying you $600 for anything.  Oh well......

DO NOT sell your cards here. The grey haired  weirdo in the back room will rip you off. Offered me $50 for a stack of Kobe Bryant's and other late 90's era cards that were in great shop. Went to the other card shop down the street and got $600 for 1/4 of them. True story.  Do have nice memorabilia, however. Hence the two stars.

The guy told me that they would purchase the sealed product I had for a certain number I requested, and he agreed to it. So I drove 25 miles to do the sale, and than the guy I talked to on phone didn’t even give me the decency to come talk to me, instead he sent me the guy that knew nothing about the deal and then after talking to the original
Guy I made deal on phone with, he comes back and back pedals and offers me $45 less than original price offered. I was confused on why he lowered the original offer , when the comps matched exactly what we discussed and brought on the original offer/Agreement. Why agree to then have me drive there thinking we are good, and then do some BS and lower offer? It’s a joke! Wasted my time , and that’s probably a reason why it was dead in there, and the inventory was not a good choice. So just be more accountable to your customers and come talk and not waste peoples time!

I normally visit the location in Kenosha but was on this side of town. I have visited the Greenfield store and often found it messy and crowded. It's a small space so it's to be expected but as a person they likes to hang out in the value boxes it can be problematic. Came in this morning and saw the opportunity to give the dime boxes a go.. spent an hour and found $4.00 worth, walk up the the register inform the gentleman what I have. His response "I hope you have cash" , I respond I have a card sorry, he says "it will cost me $3.50 to run this card, I'm loosing money in the deal". He goes on to say remember next time cash is king around here...Couple things

1 I already had a low opinion of this location
2 If you want a minimum amount to run a card have it posted as the policy of the store.
3 If you want a customer to spend large amounts of money in your store don't shame them when they spend a small amount.

A.) they had no singles in inventory. Super low quantity and very low end stuff
B.) offered to sell them a single or two for their inventory. And they offer at 50% COMPS!! FIFTY PERCENT! MINDBLOWN. Never have I seen someone offer so low. It explains why they have no inventory.

He claims he has to pay employees. Running a business that way is a quick way to go belly under. Big yikes.

Disappointed. I came in the Greenfield store in March to get something authenticated. Told me that they have someone come in twice a year to do authenticating and that they were coming in April. Took my name and number down on a piece of paper to give me a call when the authenticator would be coming in. Called in April to make sure they didn’t forget and was told the authenticator was coming in May now instead of April. Fast forward to the middle of May, I called to see if the authenticator has come in yet. Was told they just came in this past week and I missed them. I didn’t receive a call or voicemail. Just bummed I missed a chance. Maybe there could be a better system with the customers on stuff like this. Will try next time or somewhere else.

Can tell by his other responses to reviews how he treats people. Not a good place.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SELLING A CARD COLLECTION TO THEM!!!
Unless you bring only the best cards you have they won’t bother looking through your cards. They will just ask for your top cards. They will tell you to bring them all in and how they will go through them all and give you an offer, but they didn’t even do that. Spent more time carrying the cards into their store then they did even looking through them!! It is pure laziness.
Then they had the gull to low ball an offer like I didn’t know what I had. If all they want is the top cards from any collection then they need to specify that before you bring them in.
It was quite amazing how the three cards I pulled out of my boxes were worth half the offer they gave me for the entire collection. They never even saw all the great cards I do have. For instance, I have a 2021 Heritage Venezuela stamp Alec Bohm RC that was worth the offer they tried to give me and they didn’t even see this great card because they didn’t want to take any kind of time to look through and actually review all of the cards to make a reasonable offer.
They also are not very knowledgeable on sets. There is more to a set than just a Hank Aaron!! Or 1970s football?!  They missed out on a Rayfield Wright high numbered 1972 Topps rookie!! Why??? Because again, lazy!!!
A HUGE disappointment and a waste of time. Won’t ever be back.

This place is a scam! It may be a nice place for little white kids to hang out. But they do not cultivate an environment that is inviting to other ppl. I had to stand there for 5 min before even being acknowledged, and there was only a few  others in the store. Do not shop here unless you are young and white. Otherwise you might not even be served

We offer competitive prices on everything we buy. There are 100 examples of this in the other reviews below yours. Everyone thinks there items are worth more than they are. Other stores in the area do not buy direct through the major brands maybe they are forced to buy items at a higher price. Sounds like you got great service through and that’s our number one goal. Sometimes we’re not able to get the price right and that’s part of life. If price was the only thing bringing you or all of your friends in you are not an AJ’s customer anyway. Worst payouts in the city for sealed boxes. Do not go here to sell they will lowball and have zero negotiation skills. They will tell one offer on the phone even look it up online then offer way lower once you bring them in. It’s scam and a joke. If I ran my business like this I would be embarrassed. Shoutout to Jose the new front end employee though. He was really kind. Will not return and will encourage all in those in my collectibles circle to be wary of selling to this establishment
