We purchased a bedroom set and kitchen table with chairs.  Fantastic price, excellent quality, and the staff was great (especially the manager Skye).  Helped me load the furniture, made the whole process of purchasing and picking up easy and fast. I visited last week when I was looking for a tv console table/sofa table.  I found one & it was even better than I had hoped since I wanted a black one.  I also purchased 2 black counter stools that were a great find for our home.  The location was easy to get to, clean w/ plenty of parking and the staff was extremely friendly & helpful.  The prices for the pieces I bought were very reasonable.  They are in excellent condition & I know I would have paid a lot more if they were new in another store.  Very pleased w/my find & purchase and I will return for an excellent shopping experience as well as a possible next great find!  Thank you!

Really good quality furniture, best I've seen in Dane County among all the different thrift stores. More expensive on average, but still a great deal and worth it. Better to spend slightly more and not be so worried where you're furniture has been before you got it. :-/

If you are considering volunteering at one of the Agrace Thrift Stores I encourage you to go ahead!  I started volunteering at the Holiday Pop-up Shop in November and after it closed for the season, I started volunteering at the Agrace Home Thrift Store on Stoughton Rd.  All of the other volunteers I have met are great.  We have a lot of fun, and the manager always makes us feel so appreciated.  The customers are so excited by all the great finds.  I am glad to be a part of helping support the good work Agrace is known for.

I absolutely love Agrace Thrift Home Store! So many quality pieces of furniture for great prices and they have tag sales going all the time. They generally have any piece you need- but I've never noticed any bed frames for sale (just an FYI).

Great selection of nice, used furniture. I saw an antique table that I really liked but noticed a crack in one of the legs. I told them about it and they said their repair guy would fix it and they would hold it for me over the weekend. I bought it the following week and I love it! Prices seem high for used stuff but basically the same as the prices you see at St. Vinny's or the Restore.

Agrace has always been one of my favorite thrift shops, but the Home Store’s prices are a bit high for a second-hand shop. If it was an antique shop, I would understand more. But as it is, I just can’t justify purchasing most of the items I saw during my visit.

The hours are also quite difficult.

Otherwise, there were several nice aspects. The store workers were delightful, and some of the items were quite cool! It’s worth a look if you’re in the area.

Thank you for the feedback Danny.  We try to show a variety of inventory but realize a number of our pieces right now are more dated coming from the estates we pickup.  We have awesome donors and expect the inventory to change regularly, please stop back.

A decent selection of used furniture. Some of it is better than others. To me, a lot of the stock was very dated looking so it wasn't useful to me but some of it was that perfect range of datedness. Of the prices I saw, they were fair.

This place is well organized with a decent selection, friendly staff, and plenty of parking - five stars for those things. One star for prices. The prices are very high end and single pieces of furniture are regularly over $1500 here.  They really need to remove the word "thrift" from their name, as there is nothing thrifty about them.

It’s okay. They could work on being more fair on pricing. This is supposed to be a thrift store, but some of the prices are kind of outrageous. Anything that is mid-century modern is through the roof.

A lot of time goes into researching the value of the wonderful pieces that are donated to us and we do our best to both honor the quality of the donation as well as provide a good price to our customers. To do this we typically source sold listings of similar items from other second-hand sellers like Ebay and determine a discounted price from there. 

Proper identification of an item has been made much easier with current technology, but we are certainly not above error and appreciate it when customers are able to point out something we might have missed. We are currently looking for detail-oriented people like yourself to join our volunteer team if you are interested! We will share your thoughts and ideas with our team. Thank you!

The prices here are unreal. They claim to research their prices, but I am unsure of the validity of their sources. Yesterday they had a Society 6 print for $90! That's a print on demand site that regularly runs half off sales for their cheap products. There were plain cushioned chairs for $400. Mass-produced couches for $800+. The quality is nice, but you can find the same things at St Vincent for 80% less. The prices are appropriate for a consignment store with paid staff, not a thrift store that runs on donations and a largely volunteer staff. I would like to see more accessible pricing here, especially given their location.

Welcoming staff, well organized. Easy parking. Unfortunately, prices so high I won't return. $400 for a used couch. Found 3-4 pieces I would've bought, but prices more than double than what I'd be willing to pay for USED stuff. They had a color tag sale. Even with the % off, still too pricey. Found a piece of wall art for $50 that I liked and even with the sale, still too spendy for what it was.

If I could give 0 stars to this Agrace shop, I would. Their prices are comically, astronomically, high. In other words, they suck. The people who are pricing all of the FREE and DONATED items there are pathetic and should be ashamed of themselves. Everything is priced as high retail. I will never give them another donation.

I know the money raised goes to help people.....but you are a $100+ million/year nonprofit corporation that pays it's CEO over $700K, not to mention all the other executives pay. You depend heavily on unpaid volunteers. Lastly, your business is run on DONATIONS. Save your "holier than thou" BS. It's a thrift store.
You choose to sell your stuff at super high, inflated, unrealistic prices.
I choose to: not shop at your store, not donate to your organization, and to let people know not to shop there. There are many other thrift shops we can spend our money at.

I was in the area yesterday so I made a trip to this store location to check out the inventory.  My understanding of "thrifting" is to go shopping at a thrift store, garage sale, or flea market where you'll find gently used items at discounted prices. I do realize the mission of this store is to earn money for their charity, but I also hoped the pricing would be reflective of the condition and be affordable to those who cannot purchase items new.  I walked the entire store and was just amazed at how high things were marked. A leather couch with significant wear along the seating - over $500. Many of the other furniture pieces were way over-priced, too as was the wall art. If the goal is to move inventory by selling, you need to realize you are also competing with Marketplace, other discounted retail, consignment, thrift, garage sales, and even antique shops. I frequent many of these, and In comparison, find your pricing way out of line. "Sold" prices on eBay are reflective of the region, so keep that mind when you are pricing inventory in the future. East coast, for example, will have a significant upward evaluation. An added concern, I was not greeted when I came in or as walked around (even by the checkout desk) where I received no eye contact or acknowledgment from the two ladies talking the entire 30 minutes of my visit. I realize volunteers, but you can do better.

Very expensive for donated stuff. Sad they say "oh we research the items" and base off that. Well how about y'all research what people can afford today that can't go out and get new furniture etc. Places like this were once affordable to low-middle class people. Now it for the people with money. Sad

This place is outrageous with their prices. This is supposed to be second hand stuff but it cost more than the original prices on many items. I went through there and checked prices and found 17 items that cost more then there original sale prices from their original store.  How is this helping low income ppl afford furniture. It’s shameful. They are pricing items towards a higher end buyer not ppl in need. A couch should never cost $500 plus dollars used. And it looked used. I’d like to know the person who would spend that on used furniture that’s in maybe good at best condition.
