The Cozy Home is obviously a place where the owners care about value, quality and affordability. Everything is in great condition and the owners are a pleasure to work with, as is the rest of the staff. Unfortunately (for my wallet) I live really close to Cozy Home. The upside is that my house is filled with gorgeous, pre-loved pieces of furniture, art, and decor that I got for unbeatable prices. Very unique little resale shop, alot of nice furniture that is ready for your home or ready to be refinished. If your looking for real wood furniture with solid drawers and dovetail corners stop by. I also like how it's priced, it's dated of when put on the floor with every 30 days it marked down. People there very friendly and helpful. Definitely be back

This is a fun store full of something for everyone. I’ve had a lot of success selling some of my vintage items for a nice little pay out! You can tell the owners are invested in their business and take pride in a clean and friendly store.

My wife and I went in when we had some free time not knowing what to expect. These consignment stores tend to be hit or miss with home furnishings. Either the product is not that good or the prices are crazy! Well I can say for this The Cozy Home their products were amazing and the pricing was extremely reasonably for quality products.

We will be making this a regular stop for us!!!

This slightly used furnishings & furniture shop in Monona has so many unique and cute pieces.  It was very crowded when I stopped in last Saturday to look around.  I had to wait for a parking spot (not a lot of parking places available) but it was worth it.  From sofas and tables and soft back chairs to wall decor and collectible items the store was well represented.  I went back for a gem of a storage cabinet during the week.  It is well made and clean.  I’ve got my eye on a few other pieces and have to stop back often to catch new treasures!

Bought a desk here today. They have a great selection of furniture at prices that are fairly reasonable. You will pay a bit more than at other similar stores, but the quality and selection are worth the time saved. It was easy to pay and they helped me move it right away info my vehicle. I was alsoo looking for desk lamps but they only had pricey antique ones. No complaints though. Check this place out first.

I was impressed with the quality and variety of furniture.  Prices were quite reasonable, too.

Fabulous place filled with lovely things for your home.... furniture & decorations.  Great place to find gifts that you might not think of otherwise.  The staff are very friendly and the prices are good.

We bought a nice piece of costume jewelry for a reasonable price, They also had a wonderful art deco dresser that was quit cheap but unfortunately it was already sold. Great shop, not over crowded with junk,and great staff. They have easy parking. They are honest with you about pricing and chances of you actually selling your stuff. They are organized and not cluttered with junk like other shops are,. It is worth a look for great furniture with that antique or funky deco look.

GREAT little store! Big selection of quality furnishings. Found a bench, which we'd been looking for for weeks. They give a discount for paying in cash or by check...BONUS!

The  Cozy Home is a gem for anyone looking for unique, well-made home decor. They do a great job curating the items so that there is a wide mix of styles, but always include trendy, fun options. As someone who prefers to be eco-friendly, I’m happy to go here to buy a well-made pre-owned item than get something I’d have to replace in one year from a department store.

Great store, very cute products. The business model is really interesting in that they allow you to take items home to see if they fit into your home prior to purchasing the item.

Beautiful shop with a lovely selection of well curated items. Prices go down as items remain in the store, so there are some bargains to be had. It's a wonderful place to find some unique and marvelous furnishings and decorative items for your home in addition to smaller charming takeaways.

I would like to amend my review. In speaking with the owner, she said they try to carefully check all items. Somehow mine got thru unnoticed. We, as consumers, have to keep in mind that this store sells "gently used" goods, and should inspect an item before purchasing. Which I did not do. The owner, however, was willing to work with me. She sent me a partial refund that will help pay for the repair. This was much appreciated on my end.

Great place to find cute, quality furniture. They have a nice, eclectic mix of vintage, and newer things that harmonize with vintage looks. 2 dressers and a breakfast table were exactly what we needed to round out our rooms, and they’ve survived years and couple of moves & still look fab. Very happy with the quality for price, well curated shop where you can be confident in your purchase because the furniture is solid and the staff knowledgeable & supportive always helping me find a good fit. Lots of fun little extras besides furniture too - crocheted kitchen towels, sweet vintage vases, etc. Always worth a look.

An "upscale" consignment shop  with an eclectic assortment of old and not so old furniture and accessories.  Prices won't break  the bank.

The prices are a bit high, but they sell lots of interesting furniture and decorations.

Staff was friendly...... available without seeming pushy.  Some items seemed quite overpriced, and others seemed more fair.  Cute shop.  Quite a few rugs and items that needed cleaned or were pretty worn .  Likely won't stop there again.

I cannot pinpoint any specific interaction with you (or your significant other) but I can tell you that running a business affords me a lot of hats. Running a business during a pandemic with less staff and zero guidance has me in my head a lot. I'm always thinking about what is coming next so I see how I, at times, could come off as curt or dismissive. I will take your feedback and be more aware of the hat I have on.

I am so very thankful for my staff and realize, they too, have a lot of pressure from helping customers and consignors while trying to get their work done accurately and effectively. The same staff who reviews consignment with you is the same staff that cleans things, runs sales and displays things... There is no one behind the scenes. I personally believe customer service is a qualification for sainthood, however, I will rehash with them taking a little more time to work through customer interactions. I can't guarantee perfection but we can all use a reminder of grace every once in a while.

The store is delightful to browse.  My significant other has sold a few items and the owner seems to have a good eye for what sells.  They have a website where you can view your current sales.  Our only complaint is the staff and the owner.  Our interactions with the owner while selling was a bit strange.  She was short with us in person and on the phone,  Not very friendly and verging on dismissive.   Sometimes the staff has a similar attitude although staff comes and goes.

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t feel you were properly cared for at our store. I can assure you, we don’t judge purchasers based on their age but I am happy to look into it if you can pinpoint your visit. I’m guessing whomever helped you was having an off day but I don’t know without investigating a bit more. 

We do our best to price things less than what you can buy them for online and at a fair used price based on their wear. Sometimes we get misinformation on their origin and sometimes there are many varieties online and we do our best to find the proper comparison. We’re just doing our best to process a lot of items and do the best we can by our consignors as well. There is no mal-intent or attempts to price gouge… I can also say that we are not too proud to have someone point out any  thing they think seems off. If you’d give us another try, I’d love to have you stop back in and ask for me (Leah)

Overpriced for type and quality of items. For example they had a “moon in my room lamp” that was a plastic lamp had as a child and you could get on Amazon for $12 at like $35.

Lots 50-70s pieces but nothing unique or not easily findable to justify prices.

Staff was very odd and honestly rude. I’m a bit younger so maybe they didn’t think I’d buy anything but their personality kept me from buying a few stools.

Christina, I’m sorry for this unfortunate situation. When your first card didn’t appear to go through and you ran a second one my employee didn’t catch that it was charged twice. I will work with my staff on trying to avoid this in the future and trying to spot it before a second charge goes through. You know that we rectified it right away and a refund was issued. I’m very sorry that it happened in the first place, but this issue was resolved, you were contacted and explained that it was resolved, we would never double charge somebody and keep it. 

I had been seeing this buisness for quite sometime and finally checked it out with a friend. I will never go back, they were unfriendly and snooty. I was double charged and called twice to again explain that it had happened. And to day, it did show that both payments cleared. They said basically my problem, banks problem. Even with proof, now. I thought for a consignment buisness, over priced. So for the one item I purchased, I paid double, they weren’t even willing to to rectify it.

Thank you for your feedback. I followed up with my staff person and it sounds like there are more than one side of the story on this one. We sell items on behalf of people, our consignors. Some of them allow us to discount after a period of time and some don’t. We aren’t a donation center and have a lot of overhead to provide the services we do. It sounds like you were offered a discount but maybe it wasn’t enough? Either way, I’m sorry we couldn’t provide the service you were hoping for. 

I have been a regular shopper at this location but after today, I don’t know if I’ll ever go back. Service was subpar and one of the employees was very negative/rude during my entire visit. I felt very uncomfortable being there or asking for help. I wanted to purchase something and I knew that they normally provide a discount for items that have been there for a very long time, but they were unwilling to call the owner to verify this. I’ve had the discount given many times in the past. If they’d rather hold onto their overpriced items, let them!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about this. We are disappointed as well to hear that. Owners, management and staff all have different opinions here on all ends of the spectrum. However, as owners, we agree that sharing things, especially when it comes to other businesses, is in poor taste. We really do care about spreading positivity in what we do and it's clear we dropped the ball here. We also are upset to hear that you feel you were not adequately taken care of when shopping. We have a variety of staff that works for us and I would argue this is not the norm. We will however take it as an opportunity to review with ALL our staff about expectations. Hopefully in time you would consider giving us another try.

I was really disappointed to overhear a worker telling customers not to go to another business because it didn't align with her political beliefs. I was disgusted by this. We were never asked if we needed help finding anything. We really liked and wanted to buy an item but decided not to support a business who felt this was appropriate commentary to make. We are so disappointed.

We have taken steps to address this with the staff working at the time of your visit and will continue with our remaining staff until we have spoken to everyone directly. While we believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, this wasn't the place or time. I love my staff and appreciate their dedication, uniqueness and attention they typically give to customers. I am hoping that you will have the opportunity to experience that as well.

Staff never greeted us as we entered the store. I don't recommend workers talking about politics loud enough for the whole store to hear. No one cares to hear about your political beliefs. Workers are very unprofessional.

I'm sorry to hear about this situation that your group experienced today when visiting. I am home super sick today but had I been there, I feel I would have been able to intervene appropriately and possibly even had a chance to talk to you all or shut down the discussion before it became public. But here we are... I always appreciate it when people give me an opportunity to repair/address a situation in person whether they end up writing a review or not; I think most small business owners would. While I believe this situation is not indicative of our everyday operations, I completely agree this is a training issue. I try my best to fit everything in every day but this situation proves I clearly missed the mark on that training day. I have already spoken to the staff involved and plan on talking to everyone else individually. I personally believe in spreading whatever love I have and hope that maybe there will be an opportunity for you to have a better experience with us in the future.

Left without making the purchase I wanted. Just could not handle listening to the staff complaining about other local businesses. This team is about as unprofessional as I have heard. Also never once asked if we needed help. Staff training is commensurate with fruit flies brooding over a piece of rotting fruit.

My husband and I have been loyal customers at The Cozy Home since we moved here 3 years ago.  Last week I was buying an item as a gift for my husband---he had described something he liked.  While the sales associate was ringing me up I realized I had the wrong item and quickly asked her to swap it out.   She would not but told me since we were such good customers she would write a note for the owner to take care of it.  Well—owner refused to make the exchange; blamed her computer software?  Seriously?  The software runs the store?   I was shocked and disappointed and realize that our repeated business means very little to The Cozy Home.
