This is such a great resale shop with many great deals to be found. I absolutely love the pretty jewelry that I've purchased at very reasonable prices. I love everything about this business, but especially the customer service from the 2 awesome ladies there, & the absolutely wonderful, fair, & honest online Auctions that they offer!! I'm so thankful for all of my beautiful treasures that I've 'won' from their auctions. I appreciate the time they put into selecting/creating unique 'Lots' to bid on, & for all that they do to ensure great customer service.

What a wonderful small business. Hired Belle City to clean out my mother’s apartment and they ended up finding family heirlooms we’ve been looking for and they returned them to us. Hubby went for tool hoarder sale, so I expected to walk out empty-handed.  Ended up finding a huge letter "H" to add to our initial wall collage plus quirky metal #s for a fun address sign.  And they have the friendliest staff!

This is a place that always surprises me with new finds. This is a resale store which primarily does estate sales and second hand furniture - presumably items that didn't sell at auction - and things people just want to sell. These are items that people have had for years and decades and most of it is in good to excellent condition. The vast majority is furniture but I have also seen some very high end and one of a kind decorations, and the prices are reasonable. I just purchased a mission dining room set and am happy as a clam with my latest find.

I always have a great experience when going to Belle City. The staff is helpful and so much fun to work with. I would and have recommended this shop to others, who have also had great experiences during their visits.

A little pricey but very good quality items.

They have a lot of nice things at this store. There are a lot of antiques. When I went they were having a big sale. It was in their BIG back room. You got a basket with a paper bag and you could fill it even with the top for $5! That was an amazing deal.

Cool building and each little area is set up as it's own theme. Nice to walk through but it's pretty pricey for used items in my opinion.

Mainly housewares. Very large store, good if you're going for furniture, but they didn't have much of anything else besides dishes.

This store is big and you wind through the place like a maze. Some prices were outrageously high. Some items were really a blast from the past, but not my taste.

Their items are interesting to look at. I've tried on two seperate occasions to see if a large furniture item I have would be suited for their store. Whoever takes care of that there (Tracy?  It's been a while.) is inconsistent with getting back to you. She responds to the first few emails and then stops. If they're not interested just letting you know would be better than never responding again. People have been nice when I've gone in to browse. I like looking at the eclectic inventory. Business end needs some improvement.

I'm not sure how your "experience" could be factual as we have not had consignors since COVID in 2020. All consignors picked up their inventory and were paid out by November, 2020, so your time line is a bit outdated. I'm not sure  anyone would have waited 5 years to address this, here on Google, with a questionable ID instead of simply coming into the store or making an appointment with the owner. 

Terrible experience.  They take your stuff to sell and do not pay you for it. They avoid you when you call or stop in to check on your items that they are supposed to sell for you, and blatantly lie to you. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO SELL YOUR STUFF!  And the owner and the employees are just plain rude.

In our auction terms, it states that your billing and shipping address must match. This is for our protection and almost every other auction companies policy so we don't get scammed. You did not follow the terms so you were declined to bid. Our emails were on a Sunday and Monday and the auction ended Tuesday evening. We simply stated that if you wanted to bid with us, they must match. You chose not to do that so you were declined. Very simple. Please follow auction terms next time. 

Edit: Customer didn’t offer to change address. Grown man that didn’t get his way so will try to slander a small business by retaliating to make himself feel better. 


Without knowing anything about me, Without me ever having any bad experiences with them, they denied my ability to bid in an auction they had listed on HiBid.   By the time email correspondence was over, the auction was almost over.   Plus, they demanded that I change my addresses on my credit cards.  Crazy.

Now they lied about what really happened.  I offered to change my address for my 1 property so it would match, but you didn't like that because that address was too far away for you.   and you didn't even notify me until the it was almost over. Stop lying.  It's bad customer service.   I do auctions with numerous companies and never have any issues.

Multiple attempts were made to have you pay for your shipping and YOU took 3 months to pay. Your items should have been forfeited. ALSO, you read the auction terms regarding shipping. If you can't afford to pay internationally shipping because YOU live in Canada the don't bid. Simple. You have now been blacklisted on Hibid so you will no longer be able to bid with any company. 

Worse experience i had biding on a lot. I had to contact them twice to get my things three months later and they overcharged me on shipping.......

We are always happy to have a civilized, respectful conversation about our pricing. Attacking a woman's character behind the anonymity of a fake profile and a keyboard isn't very manly, but it is completely understandable that your budget may be better suited to many other places for you to shop. She has a reputation of way-overpricing things at her estate sales. Alot of local regulars steer clear of her sales, not only because of the prices, but she has a sour attitude for no reason. She puts people, frequently elderly, on the spot at checkout with her high price and they feel obligated to pay or be embarrassed. RUN *UPDATE* (after her reply)-see how sweet she is?

If you had an experience that could have been dealt with in person, we would welcome the opportunity to correct it. Posting on the internet will not correct any issues, but typically people respond in kind to the way they are engaged. Just a thought... but the real question is: would this even be an issue to address the personality of the owner if the owner were a man...but your comment "time and time again" means you keep coming back, and I thank you for that just the same!!

Time and time again, the owner has been rude, short tempered and degrading.

Very disappointed with Belle City.  Initial response was very good, however, first appointment was rescheduled because the company went over on another job.  There was a mishap with the rescheduled time, I had the appointment date on my calendar on the day after Belle City did.  As soon as they called, I told them I would (and did) head immediately to the home, however, they left before I could get there.  According to their note they waited 30 minutes. Belle City would not answer my calls after this, or respond to my messages, even though I apologized sincerely and explained that I was doing this for my sister and she is a good customer of their auctions.  They also would not answer my email.  My sister then called, leaving a message, and emailed and they would not respond to her.  Very bad business practice or understanding.  I do not recommend this business.

This is the unfortunate situation that estate sale companies today face. Although its understood that we can’t make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time, every so often we encounter a client who expects top dollar for their budget items, even though most of the items of value were removed from the sale after the contract was signed, and putting us on the fast track to set up,  conduct, and clean out her sale in less than 10 days. Every day is an opportunity to learn and this sale showed us that, sometimes, no matter how far out of your way you go, it’s just not going to be enough. So, even though this client doesn’t, I appreciate the efforts that my crew went through in a vain attempt to please this client.

As an occasional buyer I found the place worthwhile.  Some things were overpriced, but there were often fine items for a fraction of their actual worth.  Then I had them do a major moving sale when we had to go into an assisted living situation,  3 friends had warned me using Traci  was not a good idea.  I thought I knew her and the staff. My mistake, my costly mistake.  Many promises made, few kept, and abuse and threats when I complained.  From some of the other reviews, I see I am not the only one who has had problems.  There are much better estate services in the area.  Too late for me, but...    Added in response to owner's rebuttal:  the facts of the matter are not as depicted by her.  That was the problem with the transaction.  The promises and actions were false.  Others here tell the same story.

This business should be avoided by people wanting to sell their household items. I  had almost a whole household listed with them and even though they sold most of my items, they did not pay me for them in full or in a timely way. I have had to contact them numerous times in order to get even partial payment for my items. Their tracking system is faulty and at one time they  paid me for items that were someone else's things and I had to contact them and make them aware of the situation. It took weeks for them to figure out how the mistakes were made and I was never sure that they corrected things completely. Tracy, the owner also told my husband and I that we did not need to sign the written  agreement which states 90 days because the quality of our items was so high that she would just keep trying to sell them. In other words, our furniture made her storefront look better. She then turned around and said she had every right to not pay us because some items went past the 90 days. She also "donated" some of our items without telling us and I am still not sure that this actually happened as there was never a donation receipt presented. At this time, we are taking her and BCR to small claims court. I have tried for over 4 months to reach an amicable settlement with her but she refuses to return my calls or to meet face to face with us. I will add that I have saved every invoice from Tracy and BCR and that the numbers do not add up. Tracy assured us multiple times that she had it all figured out. I would say that the only thing she has figured out is how to take peoples items and not pay them. Beware.

Their terrible customer service and their firearms dealer and hunting equipment is there 1 day a week terrible business poorly run pawn shop
