Went in for their $1 basement sale. They had quite a variety of clothes. I was so happy to be able to fill my closet up for so little!

Great quality and selection. They offer only top condition clothing. Some still new with tags. Stock changes quickly.
Something to fit and please every lady.  I am no fahion bug, but people think I dress well.  99% of what I ware comes from Past and Present.
If you are short on cash, shop the first weekend of each month when a grocery bag with whatever you chose to stuff in it is only $2.  or  $3.
Friendly helpful staff too.

Love this place! Consignment shop located in Charleston's East End (across from the board of education) with reasonable prices and friendly staff. Monthly bag sales and mid-month basement sales. Proceeds benefit YWCA programs. Quality and variety. COVID protocols have been lifted. Staff is awesome. Toys too!

Great place to get used clothing and great prices and specials every other Friday that you cant beat anywhere else.

I hate to say how great this place is because I want to keep it to myself.

Great discounts and a pleasant environment. Well organized and clean.

I can't speak to the inside of the store, but the outside is clean, presentable, and easy to spot from the road. I had no trouble finding it for the first time. I called asking about donation procedures as it was my first time and they sent someone out (wearing a mask) to collect the items I brought! I love what this place does. If you have gently used clothes (any size) to donate, take them here! The items are available for free to the families they help (shelters and transitional housing). To everyone else, you can buy their items to help raise funds for Shanklin Center for seniors. They also take other items such as toys (which I had to ask about, toys are not listed on their website).

I love Past and Present.  Great selection.  Organization makes things easy to find. The staff is first rate.

We had a huge amount of clothing for donations. They where very nice and helpful. The store inside was nice and had good prices. I would definitely recommend for shopping.

This shop is great and the people that work there are extremely friendly and always a pleasure. If you're having a not so good day, stop by this shop it's sure to change your mood for the better.

Above and beyond what I expect from a thrift store but with no extra cost.  Prices are comparable to other thrift shops.  Staff was friendly and the shop itself was well organized.

Great place to get clothing and accessories. They also have a bag sale, on the first Friday and Saturday of each month. Bag sales are in the basement. Friday $3.00 a bag Saturday $2.00 a bag.

While in Charleston, I had the best quauilty customer services and engaged in life changing conversations with Ms. Diana and two other wise ladies.  The store was clean and inviting...when my shop was over, I had the best smile on my face because Past and Present CARE

I loved this place- just wish it was closer. They had very nice clothes super cheap but nice quality. Some things still had tags in them. Ask them when they do their bag sell. Apparently that is a huge sale worth planning for. Enjoy!

Awesome thrift store for more upscale clothing, and a discount basement that hosts regular bag sales.

I never get in here at the right time for the Bag Sale but the items located upstairs are really good deals anyway.  I have picked up several name brand clothes with tags still on them for a fraction of the retail price. The women who work upstairs are always really friendly, and they press the clothes and do a good job of making a used clothes store look really clean and nice!

I like the prices. And the bag sales are great. The staff could be a little more corteous.

They have pretty good deals downstairs. I got men's Bke Jean's, a nike shirt and a women's shirt for 8$

Nice clean store, friendly staff but extremely limited selection.  This may be due to the size of the store. The inventory was clean, in great condition and reasonably priced.

Great place to get bargains on name brand clothes, and a portion of the proceeds goes to the women's shelter.

Hadn't been there in a while. I found a cute pair of sandals on this visit upstairs.
Downstairs is different. Atmosphere isn't as friendly. I'll continue finding my deals at Heart n Hand, Church Mouse or  Salvation Army.
That sale was the final one!
