Amazing business. I've been buying from them for years. The refrigerator i have has been going on 10 years and my washer is pushing 8. The delivery guy is amazing. Friendly and knows his stuff. Delivery fee is always fair and well worth it. Highly recommend

I bought a re-furnished washer from A1 and used the 90 day warranty on it when a part broke no questions asked! Todd was very helpful during the purchase and repair process. I was fortunate enough to have my washer fixed the same day I called the shop!

My dryer went out yesterday. Went to A-1 before noon today and had a new one delivered and installed by 3:30 today. Looks and works great! Easy and stress free experience. Recommend.

I have bought many appliances from here over the years, washers, dryers, stove and refrigerators.  I am going to go get a washer and dryer from them in the near future.  There products are alway in working order and go for years after purchase.  I have never gotten a broken appliance from them or ever had any issues with dealing with them.

$240 for a 40 gallon water heater with a warranty. That is tuff to beat. I'll be going to them from now on.

We found our Freezer on their Facebook post. The whole process from the knowledge of the appliance to buying it was nothing but outstanding. The owner and his son were very easy to work with. I would recommend them hands down. There is a very good reason for their business to be open for 40+ years. Their customer service is excellent and pricing is amazing. They are very honest business!

Needed a fridge for the basement so we tried here.  Lots of used appliances to choose from.  Gentleman working was very helpful and friendly.  He was very clear on what items were available and the 90 day warranty.  The one we chose was confirmed working as they have them plugged in for you.  Transaction was efficient and he helped load it into our truck.  Great place!

Went in to look for some used appliances. Lots of selection, especially stoves and refrigerators. Had other furniture like end tables and such. Spoke with the manager, Charlie. Had an encyclopedic Working knowledge of everything there.

The man in the power chair is a sweetheart. You can tell he cares and is enthusiastic about his shop. The 90 day warranty is super awesome. I’ll be coming back thanks.

This place has been in business for many years.   I have bought appliances and all works and lasted for years without repairs.   Lots of bargains and great prices.   I plan to shop there first whenever i need anything another appliance or to change my furniture.

A-1 is a staple for the West Side. One of few used Appliance stores in a 30 mile radius. Old dude has owned it for at least 49yrs. They always offer 90 days on appliances but I've never had to use that as, for example, my last washer from him lasted 14yrs and I paid $100 for it.

I bought a used dishwasher, got it home and it leaked during the cycle, we called and he said bring it back and gave me my money back, no questions asked.  Friendly service..

Have to keep checking the place to see what they got and average price is $150.00 plus $30.00 if you need it delivered for the appliances and they work well

They mostly deal with used appliances.  I found and got a great deal on a high back chair with an ottoman.

The reason there are no laundromats in this town. Washer & dryers - cheap.

The place is overcrowded and you almost have to climb over things. The prices are cheap and when I went in I was promptly greeted and helped. I decided not to purchase because there were no matching sets (washer dryer). The place is by no means upscale but other than the walking room I had a pleasant experience.

Being only one of it's kind and that too in state capital, this shop is full of potential. That is a bright picture.

Good afternoon yes you have the right business. Apparently you were satisfied with our business when you came in and purchased your nasty dirty $250 refrigerator. Had you called me Todd the owner I would have been more than happy to look at your refrigerator and the only cost that would’ve occurred to you was the cost of the part. You are certainly not gonna get that from anybody else in this valley. Anyone else is gonna charge you a service fee to come and look at theappliance then they’re gonna charge you for the part and then they’re gonna charge you for labor. If I can assist you any further, I would appreciate kindly that you give me a call back at 304-437-0700 instead of slandering my business across Google in any other form of social media that you choose to do so.





Horrible. Dirty. They take broken appliances and make them run just long enough to sell to someone else. The fridge we bought lasted 1 week past the 90 day return window. $250 down the drain. And I'm sure the owner will comment under my review about how "I must have the wrong business" or something to that effect. The may have been open 40 years but the son isn't nearly the owner the father was sadly.

EDIT!  Bought a maytag refrigerator with freezer for it to work almost the 3 months that the warranty came for. Lost my receipt so now 350 dollars out. The freezer quit twice he came to put tape on it and now the freezer is my refrigerator. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING HERE AGAIN. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Half working appliances for way too much. And they never really fix the issue only make sure it makes it to.the.warrenty  so your stuck with a oversized wanna be ice box.
And to reply to your answers sir. Your employer did put a hole over that comes over the back after refilling the freon. The warranty was no longer usable because I thought it was fixed and threw away the receipt. I'm sorry maybe you yourself should come fix your appliances.  I watched him and I'm not a liar. I have a working one now. I bought for 75. Yall really don't even understand the pain you caused my whole fam. Thanks.

First impressions are everything. My husband went in to see what this place was all about, and the employee at the front wasn't friendly at all and rudely laughed at his question. All he asked was whether they sold appliance parts or not. Apparently, that's a stupid question? Anyway, I won't be back.

Poor customer service in the washing machine that I bought they gave me the wrong one then I had to take it all the way back and they gave me a different one than the one that I purchased .

I’m terribly sorry for your review that you publicly left for everyone to see. You you see the thing about social media and the Internet is that you can post what you want and in most cases the other parties cannot defend themselves. After reviewing your negative review I have come to find out after reviewing our video footage that also has sound that you in fact were the one who acted inappropriately today. My father-in-law spoke with you regarding a refrigerator that you wanted to negotiate the price on. So here’s my question to you, when you go into a department store can you negotiate the price of a pair of tennis shoes? Unfortunately you cannot. So why do you think that you can come into my family owned and operated business that’s been in business for over 40 years and try to negotiate a price and take food from my child’s mouth? It doesn’t work that way. Not only did you act inappropriate about the price of a refrigerator which may I add was more than fair and we also offer three times the state law minimum for a warranty. You also were very inappropriate when you found out that we do not accept credit cards. You see if we accept credit cards then we have to charge more for our products to cover the fees. As a family owned and operated business we can make our own rules. Like I have previously stated we have been in business for over 40 years rarely ever get anybody that has a problem. But for you to get on the Internet and leave a bad review about something that’s not even the truth is absolutely astonishing to me. We do not buy appliances that is not what our business has been built on ever in the entire existence of our 40+ years of business. We however do take our customers broken appliances if they ask us to as a courtesy. I can’t even begin to count on both Sets of fingers and toes of how many we’ve actually had to throw away or haul to the crusher because they were not fixable. I hope you have a wonderful day. Ok well it seems that I called today there add said buys used but they do not buy they take your broken stuff as trade in then fix it then sale your once broken items to other people trading in used broken items but again they do not buy your working good used items....

I have been in there a few time and the man is always rude with me and was even rude to my kids the last time I was in there I call today asking about my washer and dryer and once again very short and rude to me

Sold me a washer with a bad timer. It lasted EXACTLY 30 days. Said they'd come fix it for cost and labor of $50. Failed to show up to appointment. Get a new washer or a used one somewhere else. These guys keep their word about as much as the crack dealers around their establishment.

The store is over crowded and what they have on sale is over priced. I bought a seemingly nice washer and when I got home to use it, the washer over flowed. There is a sensor broken in it. I paid 150$ for a BROKEN washer. I would not reccommend this store.
